Returning player very confused

So I played a whole lot in 2021-2022 and only a handful of times since but last week I got back into the game again proper but the story’s seems to have dropped off a cliff?

Last i remember horkos and chimera were beefing fair enough but I’ve been reading up on what I’ve missed and chimera vanished for a long time and then a dev said they disbanded? How did they lose the war?. Horkos didn’t fair much better apparently as Astrea and horkos were defeated by the Khatun?? How? Horkos was an entire army with members from all factions how could one faction consisting of Khatuns beat them?. Speaking of the khatuns they now control the myre? Just like that? When the Vikings and knights have been unsuccessful in doing for hundreds of years?

Help with Gladiator

So returning player of 2-3 years and after doing 10 conquerer reps I’ve moved to gladiator and my god I’m struggling with him

It feels like I get absolutely shredded whenever I’m fighting more than 1 person my attempts to skewer are always parried or guard broken my dodge bash seems pointless because I can’t follow up with anything like I do on warden or conquerer

I’m aware Deflects are important does deflecting get any easier? I can’t get the timing down and I occasionally do it accidentally

I know the problem is more likely to be internal so does anyone have any tips for playing gladiator?

My MKV mjolnir is complete

Was going a little stir crazy waiting on this remake so I thought this would be a good way to pass the time an overall I’m Really pleased with how it came out
(The shoulders need a little more padding lol)

See you all on Alpha halo Spartans!

Fully 3D printed using the files available on Galactic armoury

Amount of remaining guardians?

Just a thought I had after a solo op where someone commented on them not having the man power to hold ground which me think about how many guardians remain

Countless light bearers killed by eachother mostly in the Dark age-unknown but not too high of a number I’d imagine.
The great Disaster with Crota-Thousands assumedly.
Twilight-gap probably a few hundred maybe?.
The red war-Thousands at least?
Hive guardians-the hive ghosts who turned to savathun were all originally normal ghosts who are killed on mass by guardians
Tharsis outpost-was probably a hundred maybe less

And that’s not mentioning all the miscellaneous deaths due to regular fighting for hundreds of years? Maybe more since the collapse and there’s not any new ghosts getting made

With Destiny coming to an end it’s made all my props feel that little bit more special to me

Picked up D1 when I was 7 years old and 11 years later it’s still my favourite game of all time and I doubt that’s ever gonna change

Finally after grinding firefight all month

I started grinding at diamond colonel and 250 firefight matches later I got it
(I am never playing survive the undead or firefight classic as long as I live 😭)

CPC failure

Title
I’m curious to what it would take to fail the cpc in such a way retaking it is not advisable

Pretty much my extended family really want me to do the navy but i just can’t bare the thought of this for 4 years but they’ll think less of me if i leave willingly so i was curious to ways a cpc could be failed

Fitness level

I’m really fucked and up against it for my fitness test
For context I have my CPC soon enough and I’m just getting to 12 minutes for the 2.4km run

I feel like absolute hell and can even taste blood sometimes afterwards
And from what I’m seeing most people are doing it in 11 mins or under and I know I won’t be able to make that and being singled out as the slowest seems like a fast track on getting noticed by the staff

And that’s not even mentioning the Moc firefighting drill which sounds brutal and I’m barely even meeting the minimum weight requirement

Point is should I even continue with my application or am I just wasting my time?
