Metrics to calculate damage?

Is there way to calculate the amount of damage I am doing if I use an hour of discussion with an AI chatbot? So that I can use it cautiously and not feel guilty about it at the end of the day? I feel stagnant in my work if I don't use AI.

Edit: I am referring to the environmental impact of AI.

What is the significance of literary research?

A friend of mine who is practicing medicine once asked me what do I do for research. how it is relevant to the society, what it is giving back to the society? As a scholar who have started my research, I am reading, studying a lot of literary texts, about them. Through the process, I have developed empathy, I learnt to apply critical perspectives in daily life (which also made me look at everything with a tinge of skepticism and cynicism- since my ideal is not met). But what am I giving back to the society? That person didn't snide at me but was curios to know what I do. but myself I was not clear and could not give him a proper answer. My research is pretty much interdisciplinary as it combines sociology, psychology, history and now even spatial theory. I am learning a little bit about all these field that relevant to my work, but what am I producing back? to whom am I producing back? A research paper is only read by very few scholars whose main intention is not interest but read that paper for the sake of citations and substantiation. I know humanities research is important and interesting to me and few others in this field, but how are we going to transcend this gap between science and humanities? between utilitarian induction and interpretation? or am I just comparing apple and orange with a wrong metrics?

Fasting plus strength training

24F 64kg 5'3. I need to lose weight and gain muscles eventually. I tried to do both, and it's kinda exhausting for me. My friend who's been working out for years gave me a hybrid workout plan that includes three days of strength training and 3 days cardio (jogging or cycling). I can't focus on every muscle within 3 days, coz it's very draining if I do more than 4 or 5 variations. So I always happen to skip either shoulders and back. I completely stopped gym for 3 months due to work pressure, tho I went for badminton now and then.

Gaining muscles also increased my weight. idk how to gain leanmass. But it has immensely made me feel able to do things. My cramps got less painful when I did the training for about 5-6 months. That was a big deal for me I don't want to do just cardio which I had done in the past.

Now I want to start from scratch, combining intermittent fasting with strength training. I am aware it is important to take ur fuel before and after gym. But I can't seem to accommodate that with fasting. I can hit the gym from 5.30 am or so in the morning or in evening about 7 pm.

If I go in the morning 5.30, I can't take food before workout. If it's in the evening 7, I can't take anything after a workout. I will try to include 5 eggs a day with almonds, chia seeds, if not daily 200g chicken thrice a week etc.

  1. Has anyone tried this combination? Females especially

  2. Any advice on how to manage time? Even 13 to 14 hr fasting is fine if not 15 within this table.

  3. Muscles gain with no postworkout fuel is possible?

  4. Can I include any other functional workouts that suit fasting?

Strength training makes my body more able, and fasting is keeping my head clear. So I can't seem to negotiate on this one. Like to hear your suggestions. 🏃‍♂️

Anyone up for jogging or cycling or badminton(noob here)

I don't feel safe doing either of these alone, so I want to create a group or make a few friends who are respectful and trustworthy and also share these interests.

I am not pro at any of the above, nor have I the expensive gear, but I want to do them for peace of mind. I am not interested or encourage anything else other than these activities. So anyone up wanting to carry off their weight of overthinking, we can connect.
