Canada Post Refund for LATE and Damaged parcel.

In short, my package was delievered 3 days instead of 2 days which is their On-Time Delivery Guarantee. Also it arrived damaged. The sender filed a complaint. Nobody got back to me and i have no reference number. What's the procedure here? The shipping was $90 and i think the insurance is around $100 for the item which cost me $3000. Anything i can get back will help to get it fixed. Any advice is appreciated!

Bernina 480 maybe damaged in shipping

Hello everyone! I bought a bernina 480 from a person who lives across the country from me. Unfortunatly her idiot son basically put the machine in a flimsy cardboard box and it has arrived in one piece but I'm not sure if anything happened inside the mechanism. I've never played with this type of machine, I only had the Activa 134 before to compare to. It seems to stitch proper straight lines and zig zag, but decorative stitches are all wonky. Any advice?

Also, the knee lift only seems to go in at a side angle, she had a 460 Serger so she might have given me the knee lift for that one... Or the whole mechanism inside got knocked around?

My activa has beautiful stitches. This one is super disappointing so far, I don't even know what the baseline is. Shouldn't it work well straight off the bat??

Do people actually like volodymyr_tedtardi?

I find that guy sooo cheesey, and I cringe when he winks lol but his account is full of fans. I don't even know if he knows how to cook, or it's just a coverup skill. Give me your thoughts about him!

Gathering Stitch #18

I would like your opinions on using the gathering stitch which is #18 on my Activa 135pe. Do you use it instead of long basting stitches? Do you find the gathers good?

I've used it, and sometimes it's great, the threads don't break and just have to go slow to avoid the fabric unraveling.

Sometimes it breaks in the middle and I get angry lol.

Is there a good and bad way of doing this?

Listening shirring so that there is more ease in bust

Hello! I have a dress that I absolutely love, but now I'm postpartum it fits a bit tight. I've undone the arm/side and restitched so it's perfect there around the arms and back, but the front where my chest is and my high waist, the buttons really pull and my skin shows through, even though there is a small fabric panel behind the buttons to conceal skin.

I have an apple body and very large waist proportially to my body. It's almost the size of my hips. Is there a way to easily let out some of the shirring to make it less tight around. Look at the pictures for more clarification on how it's constructed. There are no side seams unfortunately.

I feel my option are

  1. add a longer inside panel behind the buttons to conceal the opening

  2. move the million buttons up to the edge and move the button loop over too. This will be nuts I really don't want to do it lol

  3. some magic technique with the shirring to make it let's tight?

Any advice?
