Wondering if anyone has advice/experience getting assessed for Autism and ADHD as an adult? Through a family doctor referral or privately? Not sure where to start and would love some advice.
I’m a 27 year old female looking to get an autism and possibly ADHD assessment and diagnosis. Wondering if anyone has gone through the process through a family doctor or privately. How did you start the process and how much did it cost if you did it not through a family doctor? Really just looking for some guidance and advice on how to go about this. Feeling very unsure about where to start.
My 7 year old, 4 pound baby was attacked the other day by another dog. Completely out of no where and unprovoked. Weren’t even greeting each other, other dog was laying down several feet away. Dog just lunged at her and grabbed her whole head in its mouth. Luckily it released her but she could have died. Left her bleeding with a puncture wound and had to take her to the emergency vet. Left me completely traumatized and she’s now on meds. We’re unsure how to navigate interactions with dogs moving forward now. Also unsure how she will be around other dogs now. Aggressive, scared? I feel absolutely horrible that this happened and honestly don’t want her to be in the vicinity of any dogs bigger than her ever again. Which obviously will be impossible. I’m just so unsure what to do. Would love if anyone would share any advice or similar stories and what you have done? Thanks in advance :)
