She might be coming back sooner than we thought.

This is official Avengers: Doomsday merch. Could the Children's Crusade storyline be adapted and Wanda be one of the Latverian Witches?
If VisionQuest ends with hinting that Wanda's alive, this could play directly into Secret Wars and her return.

Will Polaris be a part of the new X-men?

With the Mutant Saga coming, almost every X-men character will be recast which means new comic storyline adaptations will be possible. Will they have Lorna, Pietro and Wanda as Erik’s children again ? (ignoring when they reversed this)

If they do recast Wanda and Pietro, who do you want to play them? Kevin Feige has made it clear that they don't have any plans of yet to recast Wanda in the current MCU, and seeing how popular she is, they may never do it unless the actress wants out herself. What do you think?

Wanda’s return (Theory)

Wanda’s (the Scarlet Witch’s) return to the MCU might be based on the timeline alone.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe: The Official Timeline guidebook says that the events of WandaVision took place in fall 2023, which would coincide with the events of Endgame being five years after Infinity War (2018).

The timeline guidebook also says that the events of Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness took place in fall 2024, this gives Wanda almost an entire year to familiarize herself with the Darkhold. Now, the current year in the MCU, as indicated in the Thunderbolts post credit scene sets it in about early 2029 (14 months after the events in Thunderbolts which would have been around 2027), which now is also when Avengers: Doomsday will be set in.

The reason I think Wanda will have to return soon is because of this video by Allure in 2016, where Elizabeth Olsen explains the origins of the Scarlet Witch. In that video, she explains how after the events of House of M, Wanda flees to Mount Wundagore. Keep in mind that DSMOM was re-written multiple times before settling on the final cut, although HoM was never part of any of those scripts. But, during her rampage at Kamar Taj, she does kill a ton of people and does collapse Mount Wundagore on herself at the end, which I thought would be a substitute to the comic storyline. So far, a majority of the events explained by her in that video have been adapted in the MCU which is why I think her return has to be sooner or later. Coming back to the timeline of it all, she says, Wanda returns 7 years later to redeem herself in the Children’s Crusade storyline where she was key in defeating Dr. Doom.

This all adds up since Doomsday will be set in early 2029 and the events of Secret Wars is rumored to be 8 years after Doomsday (since the story will be loosely adapted from the 2015 Secret Wars comic storyline), which is the perfect time during which Wanda could come back in Avengers: Secret Wars. Secret Wars would also be perfect to set up the Young Avengers and also loosely adapt the Children’s Crusade storyline.

This goes without saying that this entire theory is based on that one video from ten years ago, but the actress has mentioned in her recent interviews that she’s eager to return to the role if she’s written meaningfully. If you didn’t know already, the writers for DSMOM hadn’t watched WandaVision before writing the script and so her arc in that movie went almost 180 from where she was at the end of WV (the finale of WV was changed to have her reading the darkhold to connect it to DSMOM).

At this point, I hope Wanda returns as any variant, but I’m holding out hope for the Scarlet Witch since she is the only Wanda variant who can defeat Dr. Doom. Let me know your thoughts on this
