mom wont let me choose my hairstyle

i am newly a teen, 13 years old. since december i have been text messaging my mom asking her to let me restart my hair. i got a perm when i asked for curl rods, and i started to hate it.
recently i got dreads, and its horrible, lots of permed hair with dreads. they wont ever loc and when i ask my oarents they keep telling me "i dont know what i want" or they straight up ignore me or get mad.
im super tired of this hair, yesterday i texted her reasons why i hate this hair, but she didnt read any of them and threatened to punish me. i dont rock this hair. it sucks, and its too far gone to wait for my natural hair to grow back for real texture

I love Haiku

this is a screenshot from my Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 running Haiku.
well supported, everything functioned out the box. "riced" it a little with WinDecorator
i like its C++ GUI API, ive been making little programs with it
i think ive been running this for a week so far, and i dont think that will change for a while. its all i need, light resource usage, sexy gui, simple internals...!!

does anyone here rock classic keyboards

to clarify, i call to anyone here that DOESNT use a thinkpad that has a classic keyboard.
its rare to see lenovo being mentioned without thinkpads also being mentioned, and most thinkpad users love their classic keyboards, like the x220. do you non-thinkpaders have a lenovo laptop with a classic, bulky keyboard! i want to see!

can you physically remove their touchpad?

not for repair, but to get rid of it completely - to only use the trackpoint
searching it up gave me unrelated answers, so i decided to make a dedicated post

has ANYONE modded their thinkpad to remove the trackpoint? how? can you do it?

multiple nameservers with resolvconf

hello! i was wondering if anyone knows how to tell resolvconf to use multiple nameservers? i tried multiple formats like with spaces, newlines, etc, but they usually just end up being the last dns server i put.

does anyone reccomend hackintosh on the dell latitude 3190?

i own a dell latitude 3190, configured with a n4120 geminilake cpu, and 64gigs of eMMC storage.
lately, ive been itching to try hackintosh. while aearching around, i found this hackintosh for my exact laptop!
but heres the problem: the README mentions nothing about a eMMC drive, in which my laptop is configured with.

so, i came to ask you all: anything i should look out for? any kexts i can use? if i should do it at all?

additionally, i currently run FreeBSD on my laptop, but i can switch to Linux if theres anything specific to it in the hackintosh process.

thanks in advance.

can anyone help me complete the neuswc port to freebsd?

some time ago, i ported the wayland compositor library neuswc to freebsd. right now it works, but not completely: tty switching is broken, and you can see black flashes on the screen when using "gpu-heavy" programs(?)

what i need help with the most is tty switching. i have tried my best to fix it today, to no avail. i will post my code from launch/launch.c in the comments.

with my patches, it looks like the tty should switch, but it just doesnt! meanwhile in upstream, its just completely broken.

im sorry if i didnt provide a useful description, but bare with me, im not a wayland genius, and i genuinely do not understand why this doesnt work.

ELAN touchpad support?

hi guys, i have a few inquiries on the support for elan clickpads in openbsd.
recently, i have tried openbsd on my dell latitude 3190, (configured with a n4100 gemini lake cpu, iwm 8265, and 64 gigabytes of emmc storage) - to see everything work perfectly...except the touchpad. i looked in the dmesg, and the drivers are loaded! but for some reason the touchpad has no interrupts in vmstat.

so, that leads to my questions: what is the progress on elan clickpad support in openbsd? why does it seem to be poorly supported?

and about me, what is my issue exactly? continuing precisely on my own issue, imt and ims are loaded for my clickpad, are registered to wsmouse, but nothing happens when i move the clickpad in Xorg, and as i said, i see no interrupts in vmstat. is this a bug? how can i file it?

thanks in advance!

for a tribute to the FreeBSD port of neuswc, i made mot look like the freebsd installer.

the window decor is probably the only limiting factor. because nswc currently doesnt support transparent decor "image" values, and the way neuswc tiles color values with its parts, i couldnt reliably replicate the "drop shadow" effect that TUIs have its still fun to play with swc decor :>

its not the best decor, but i can live with it

with the new swc decor, i made mot look like classic mac os

wait, what are those on top of the windows? well, i am glad to tell you that neuswc has just now implemented its own window decoration api!

at the moment, it can only modify borders and add text, but its developing. i made my neuswc compositor - mot - look like lola - plan9's rio fork.

neuswc compositor developers of the internet, i encourage you to try this out!

Jaundice

FYI, during the making of this screenshot, mot has garned a bunch of functionally and visually cool features - that make it a little closer to Plan9's rio. If you like what you see, you should check mot out!

I cleaned up after making this rice.
