Progress update: I finally see the difference

Been meaning to post a progress update because I genuinely didn’t realize how much my body had changed until I went back and compared pictures. First picture was around my heaviest at 325 lbs, second is more recent at 266 lbs. 59 lbs down.
I’ve been using reta for 5 months at 3mgs every 5 days. I started at 325lbs and I’m currently at 266 lbs. My experience so far has been great with not a single side effect.
The biggest thing for me is that I haven’t treated reta as the entire strategy. I went from being pretty sedentary to regularly hiking and walking, and now I’m even working jogging into some of my walks. My eating habits and overall activity are dramatically different from where they were in the first picture.
Still have a long way to go, but seeing the pictures side by side finally made the progress register in my head.
Also before Reddit CSI gets here… yes, my shorts are sitting higher in the second picture 😂 I promise “pull shorts over stomach” was not the weight-loss protocol.

3 month update: 324.9 → 270.5 lbs (-54.4 lbs)

Started May 29th at 324.9 and weighed in tonight August 29th at 270.5. Even funnier the weigh-ins were at 8:50pm and 8:47pm so this is damn near an exact 3 month comparison lmao.
I knew I was losing obviously but seeing the numbers side by side is kinda fucking me up 😭
I will say reta has been a tool, not the entire reason for the loss. I’ve made some pretty major changes during these 3 months. I walk/hike A LOT more now, drink pretty much only water, and overall I just eat significantly less than I used to.
The food noise/appetite suppression has probably been the craziest part. There are legitimately times where getting enough food/protein has become more of an issue than trying not to overeat, which is something I never thought I’d be saying.
I’m not trying to get tiny either. 240ish is the goal and then I’ll decide from there. I like being a bigger dude, I just don’t want to be 300+ lbs.

How do you reconnect with a deity after unintentionally neglecting your practice?

I’ve been wanting to ask this for a while because it’s been weighing on me. I’ve worked with Tyche for some time now, but over the past several months I’ve realized I’ve completely fallen out of my practice. Life got busy, other priorities took over, and before I knew it I had stopped making offerings, stopped doing rituals, and honestly stopped taking the time to express gratitude the way I used to. It wasn’t a conscious choice to walk away, I just slowly drifted.

Lately I’ve been feeling pulled to reconnect, but I’m not really sure what the right way to approach it is. Part of me feels like I should apologize, while another part of me wonders if that’s just me projecting human emotions onto a deity.

For those of you who practice deity work, have you ever gone through something similar? If so, how did you reconnect? Did you simply pick your practice back up, did you make a formal offering or apology, or was there another approach that felt right?

I’d especially love to hear from anyone who works with Tyche, but I’m interested in hearing experiences from people who work with any deity. I’m not looking for people to tell me everything is fine just to make me feel better. I genuinely want to understand how others navigate this and what has worked for them.
Thanks in advance. I appreciate any insight you’re willing to share.

7 weeks on reta down 38lbs

Started Retatrutide 7 weeks ago at 324.9 lbs and just had my first DEXA scan today at 286.9 lbs, so I’m officially down 38 lbs. Honestly, I’m really happy with the progress so far. Along with Retatrutide, I’ve completely changed my lifestyle. Hiking has become my main form of exercise, and I’ve been really consistent with it. During the work week I usually do two hikes a day around 2 miles each with a few hundred feet of elevation and once a week I’ll do a longer hike around 6 miles with roughly 1,000 feet of elevation gain. My diet has also become very simple. I mostly eat lean proteins like steak, chicken, shrimp, eggs, and protein shakes, while adding fruit throughout the day. I aim for around 150–170 grams of protein daily, drink mostly water or sugar-free electrolyte drinks, and stay in a calorie deficit without following any specific diet plan. The medication has made it hard to eat enough sometimes, so protein shakes have honestly been a game changer for helping me hit my protein goals.
I was honestly expecting my DEXA scan to show that I’d lost a decent amount of lean mass because the weight has been coming off pretty quickly, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. I still have a long way to go, but seeing the DEXA gave me a lot of confidence that I’m moving in the right direction.
For those who’ve been on Retatrutide longer than I have, did your weight loss stay pretty consistent after the first couple of months, or did it slow down? If you’ve had multiple DEXA scans, how well were you able to preserve lean mass? I’d love to hear how your experiences compare.
