Best finish for a turned vase

I’m learning to turn vases and I want them to hold water and real flowers. What are your best recommendations for finishes? Can I use one kind of finish on the inside and a different one on the outside? I’ll post a pic if I turn anything good this week 🙂

What can I make with leftover unfinished solid white oak flooring?

I have about 25 or so linear feet, mostly in pieces around 2’ long. Any ideas on what I can do with them?

Do I need a plumber?

First pic is what I want to install. I’ve already put them in the other two bathrooms.
The second pic is what’s what’s coming out of the wall in the third bathroom.
D*** jokes aside, what can I do? Thanks

How old is this hammer?

It was my grandfather’s so it’s more than 60. No markings. It’s 16 oz. Appreciate any help

What did I do wrong? Electricity edition

I replaced the old switch with a shiny new one. I connected the wires in the same order they were in before (upper one connected to upper screw, lower connected to lower). The switch does not work. No tripped breakers. All the outlets work. But I can’t turn on the overhead light.
What did I do wrong? TIA

Drilled holes in the wrong places on the front door

I was trying to install a deadbolt and knob but used the wrong part of the template. It’s a solid door, six panels. So do I have any options besides buying a new door? The door is painted on the outside and stained on the inside. Thanks!

I’m very new to turning and have been touching up my chisels as I go. And I’ve realized I need to really sharpen them, not just hit them with a diamond stone. So, what kind of set up do I need? Thanks!

We’re going to paint our dark red front door a warm yellow. The paint store lady said we need a smooth door for glossy paint. So, what grit sandpaper do we need? Do we need to use primer? Thanks for the help and advice!
