Has anyone gone from community college to imagineering

Disney's always been a big inspiration , It's what's gotten me into art but I'm gonna be real I don't want all that student debt haunting me for the next decades of my life on top of hassling careers and keeping myself alive. I know there's financial aids , and scholarships but my I doubt my school track record would get me to qualify for any. I know it really comes down to talent but there's still the reality they see the paper before they ever know your aspirations or who you are as a person.

So has anyone ever come from community college and gotten in , or a lower income background and gotten in and have any advice. I know for certain I want a role in art.

Who're y'all voting for in primaries

I wish I could vote (17) — but I've been seeing all these campaigns , my least favourite is Dunn & Boafo (One is a cop larping as a middle class "Of the people" kind of guy and Boafo is a text line industry plant. Like it's borderline nepotism. Most of his campaign is how he's propped up but how does that gain any trust in people ? He's also an AIPAC muncher , so the second his precious lobbyist money comes in he'll bend over the counter for whatever they say.)

One candidate I've seen that's got a good track is Wala Blegay , she's got history as a labor lawyer/Union organizer so she's got a history for helping the working class. she denounces the genocide in Palestine so no Pac Money. And her policies are very solid — she plans to stabilize rent + make an act , called the PRO Act.

The others like Jarin and another madame I can't remember (her campaign ads didn't hit me honestly) they seem like they mean well but Blegay just has more experience with deep community that grants more trust.

The PRO Act will:

Strengthen workers’ right to organize and collectively bargain

Prevent employers from retaliating against workers who support unions

End so-called “right-to-work” laws that weaken unions and drive down wages

Ensure workers can secure first contracts after organizing

Hold corporations accountable when they violate labor law

How & what would you add to the game that you think would better it , or make it more immersive ?

Dreamlight valley as a concept and practice has been fulfilling for me — but there feels like so much is lacking from truly making it an immersive experience.

- For one the character customization needs some work , I know you can collect things over time but I'm talking faces and the hairstyles. Especially as a black person it's so cut and dry or non existent.

I think all face customization should be sims-like where they let you grab at the face and adjust whatever you need , and have more face shapes. Scaling , etc. (I also wish they had elf ears , and more body paints like for the hands and not just the face.) + more facial hair options , I'd LOVE to make an old wizard in this game.

- 2. The characters and how they interact with the world and you , the most important thing. While I love how they have their own conversations sometimes , it's so creepy when they immediately break it or end what they were doing jus to observe us. (Like when we fish for example.) I think in general it's odd someone will just run out of the blue to see what you're doing like that , and in general fishing with them would feel more bonding than them watching.

I also think it would be fun if they had their own personal active you could do with them , instead of just retrieving items. It lets you get to step into their personal life , and a great way to add onto characterizing like helping Gaston get into the arts or learning new spells from Merlin as a way to upgrade your things. In one instance Disney has had this friends system in Disney heroes , it's a mobile game I played and with each character they'd have two characters they can be friends with and have missions together.

Like imagine how cute it'd be to actually see Remy and scar start to warm up to each other over some similar tastes in something , even if it's not a quest , just seeing them do activities or scar seated in his restaurant to put implications. Subtly.

I feel like this game and many others that want you to live and care for things in the world miss such crucial detail and prioritize things that's been done so many times. There should be an innovation in this type of genre of game , cause which each world there's something new , and especially with pre built personality there's so many possible for interacts which is what I got into the game for.

- 3. And I'm not sure if this is a thing in the game or not. But it would be great is with update they also lengthen quests , this seems like a game that is expanding out still to this day. I think even with base game characters they should get more content as the game updates and is kept alive. I don't think their stories should finish until this game does , which I doubt will happen anytime soon. Not until they max out every character and they're not even close yet.

Imagine if characters get new quests as well when you move them cross worlds , like needing help to settle in or if they run into any conflicts with the living space or their neighbors. I think, especially since some of these characters have been stationed their for so long with lost concept of time that big shifts would be hard for them , it only makes sense to.

- 4. Let characters do quests with you. I don't think alot of these characters would be so idle , maybe scar and Rapunzel due to sloth or lack of understanding and sense of doubt in their ability but characters like Gaston , Gothel , Kristof don't seem like idle people — there should be ways they could help or atleast be active in a quest.

- 5. To second what I said before , I think it would be interesting if you have a likability system. Like in Fallout or Date everything, except it happens when you fail to meet quest quotas , you lose their admiration. I also think there should be character in general who hate each other, not that there isn't but in cases we're they're needed for a quest it would be funny trying to convince them to help a perceived enemy. (Maybe have whether the help you or not based on whether the like/tolerate you.)

In this situation — to avoid soft locking of any kind , a few things should be possible that you can sway them through a little gaslighting , like using the fact you've helped them out that it's a must they help you seeing how you're practically ruler of the lands + also taking whatever you need aka stealing.(this choice out their for the people who might be building a villain character or a meaner person in heir playthrough. I'll touch on this next.) a softer choice that takes a bit longer while , but gaining their trust or admiration back through their favourite gift + apology. Or failing the quest (sometimes failure is okay , and depending on the character they might not even be mad at you.)

-6. I know there's no bas or good factions but I liked how you could be a little mean to characters , or atleast sarcastic. I think there should be personality building , think Disco Elysium which I know has been referenced to hell but it's a genuinely cool and refreshing that picking up certain traits can fix up sever dialogue options for the simplest conversations.

- and it's hard to ignore the tension between villains and the hero/ines , I mean Rapunzel literally can be in the same world as her kidnapper/abuser. If they can tackle that subject they can execute how that would effect their interactions. (Which I'm unsure whether they get to the realization point that she knows she's been kidnapped which sucks.) With no conflict everything is just this middle , it would be so awesome to create unique conflicts in the story. (Maybe making the events of some kind , but not limited time. Give them their own section for those who're new and want to play it or go to replay it. So atleast you're not sacrificing the greater plot of the game.) Not just villains but hero conflicts too , like if Rapunzel's hair powers started to tweak like how they did in Tangled the series. (Cassandra please come to dreamlight the kids miss you.)

Or if vanelope's powers started to effect the world around her , making other things and people glitch. Etc. etc.

- 7. Add weather if it's not already been added. I know there's different terrains in one world but still. (It could make silly scenarios or things like characters who dislike rain/snow asking for their house to be set in a dryer place , and giving characters themed umbrellas , NOT TO MENTION OUTFITS THAT WOULD BE SO CUTE. + Big merch potential on that.)

- 8. I'm running out of ideas but my last one would be to have friend groups in game for characters , like maybe a villains clique , or a water group made up of Ariel/Maui/Maui/Donald/, and reluctantly Ursula. Just to expand dynamics and even create some interesting rivalries like fighting over a spot to meet up at + other petty things. (Imagine gaston making a manly book club where it's just people teaching him how to read Instead of actually reading the book regular😭.)

THAT'S ABOUT IT , I'm new to this community but I'd love to here your guys ideas on this game. The best creators other than the game creators themselves are the fans and fandom after all :3 , CIAO.
