Beware of the “3x Refund” promise — my ₹2,100 ticket got only ₹1,300 back

I booked a train ticket for around ₹2,100 through this app because it advertised a 3× refund if the ticket wasn’t confirmed.

Initially, the app showed the 3× refund claim, and later it showed a 2× refund claim. But when my waitlisted ticket was finally cancelled, I received only ₹1,300 as an actual refund.

The remaining ₹1,300 shown in the screenshot is an Alternate Travel Plan coupon, not cash — and it has conditions attached.

So basically, for a ₹2,100 ticket, the actual money refunded to me was only ₹1,300.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding their terms, but the way the refund was advertised vs. what I actually received feels extremely misleading.

Sharing this so others can check the refund terms carefully before booking.

Indian Bank has made me visit the branch for 6 days straight for a simple FD closure

3rd consecutive day at Indian Bank.

My grandfather passed away 2 years ago. My 73-year-old grandmother has an FD that matured last year and we're trying to complete the process.

​

Day 1: Told KYC is not updated.

​

Day 2: Brought my grandmother to the branch for manual KYC. Staff said it would be updated by the next day.

​

Day 3: Visited again after 3 days and was told the KYC request hasn't even been sent for processing yet please wait we will send it now and I'm waiting in the from last 2h.

​

Meanwhile, customers keep making repeated trips to the branch, including senior citizens.

​

I don't live in this city and came here specifically to get this work done. Instead, it's been three days of running back and forth with no clear timeline.

Why is accessing your own money so difficult?

​

Has anyone else faced similar delays with KYC updates, FDs, or account settlement at Indian Bank?
