Loose nut

Hi all, today I noticed my cb500 hornet making a high pitched vibration noise over 6k rpm, that seemed to be coming from the throttle cable. Gave everything in that area a feel and noticed that the circled nut is slightly loose, likely making the noise. The issue i’m facing is that attempting to tighten it doesn’t really keep it tight, instead the softer plastic behind it has started to warp slightly. Any advice? (not my picture, just used for example)

Crash advice

Hi all, yesterday I was hit by a car at low speed and and came off my bike. Bike is totalled, and I broke my foot. The driver did stop and someone behind said he got it on dashcam, but I couldn't get any details from anybody before I was taken to hospital. The police turned up and got my details so I assume they got everything they need from the driver who hit me and dashcam driver, but I'm left a little worried as I don't really have any details myself. My insurance claims line is closed until Monday, but as I'm certain it was not my fault, I want to obviously claim it through his insurance.

Just wondering what I am supposed to do right now, will the police contact me at some point?
