I started fishing last yr august with a bass rod then a 9ft ugly stik with spinning reel for float fishing of salmon and fall trout. This yr I bought a 10'6ft rod with spinning reel to upgrade my setup but I've been thinking lately of getting a centerpin. Is it worth using a centerpin? what made you use a centerpin for float fishing? if so, what is the ideal rod length mostly for lake tribs and is the 4.5" diameter centerpin good enough? thanks!
