Solar Panel Providers - South East?

Looking at getting solar panels on our new build (no grant)
Can anyone recommend people please and maybe elaborate why they would recommend them?
Got a quote from South East Solar but I’ve heard the after care support isn’t great.
Got a quote from Ecoplex but the reviews I’ve seen since aren’t great either.
Both companies were really nice to deal with but I just want to cover as many bases as we can.

Solar Panels Financing options?

Looking at getting solar panels. Expecting circa €10k but waiting on official quotes. I’ve been researching loans and trying to find the best option over 5 years. Bank of Ireland are offering 6.3% (can’t get the lower rate for energy upgrade as we’re only doing solar panels and maybe an EV Charger)

Can anyone who has experience with this point me in a cheaper or better alternative or do you think that would be the best? Do the financing companies provided by installers have better rates?
TIA!

Any recommendations for installers in Wexford appreciated also!

How do you all deal with Hayfever?

I’m fed up of pollen bringing me down every year. Every year, it gets to a certain level where I’ve blown my nose too much and it leads to at least a sinus infection. This year, it’s been bad enough to give a chest infection also and now I’ve a fever for the last 3 or 4 days. Finally got antibiotics and steroids yesterday after accepting my body was taking too long to fight them off.

Question I have is what do people use to help them fight hayfever? I’ve heard of injections, can you still get them and do you think they help? I basically have to trial and error antihistamines every year as it seems to change what works for me. Cetrine last year worked fine towards the end of the year, but not working at all this year. Telfast not working and doctor prescribed a higher dose version of telfast yesterday, hoping it helps.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Taylormade Drivers falling apart

I feel like I see one post a day on Reddit golf pages about taylormade drivers getting broken on the clubface. I have a Sim myself and it’s 6 years old this week and no issues, and would hit it long enough.

Even with my own good experience with this club, seeing the amount of people who have broken theirs would make me strongly want to go with a new brand next time. Would taylormade still be seen as having the best driver or should people be moving to other brands given the problem.

It’s all subjective of course. I’m a TM junkie and love the look of their clubs. But I don’t want to fork out that money on something proven to have a higher probability of breaking..

More open for discussion, I’d love to hear when people are getting fitted for drivers over the last 2 years which brand they hit the best/ longest!

Wedges - does it matter the the once a week average golfer?

These 3 photos are basically my wedges. 52 degree, 56, 60 as per how they’re posted.

I’m not sure of the bounce on my actual ones (away from my bag at the moment) but I find myself scared using them the last while. I’m only ever comfortable hitting my 56.

Does it matter they’re different brands? Can’t afford to get fitted but the rest of my irons are fitted. Extended length shaft too as I’m tall. Looking for advice, do I just learn to play with what I have or do I need to even trade in to get all the same brand even?

Thanks!

Flooring on New Builds

Hi all, buying a new build soon and funds are tight. After getting the house we will have enough for appliances etc but will just about scrape getting flooring. We would love a certain flooring that’s a little more expensive than we can currently afford. Im just wondering, does anyone live in the house with just the cement flooring for a while? Is that normal? Any tips you can share from previous experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

Rental Credit Tax back mid year?

Will be moving into our new home soon, our rental agreement finishes in July. We would both be due the rental tax credit. Is there any possibility we would get that back in full once we submit for it, or would it we just see it in our wage slips over the following months?

Usually we just wait until the following January and get it in one go but wanted to see if possible to do it just after we move out as it would come in handy with the house!

Thanks!

Pips and warnings

My boss said he’s not happy with my performance. Office based role in accounts for context. Hasn’t mentioned a PIP or anything about being let go, but of course that’s where my head is thinking in next steps if he doesn’t start to appreciate my workload. Essentially I’ve been killing myself over the past 10 years going above and beyond my role requires. I’ve consciously now just started doing just my duties required, not the killing myself. Due to the workload I did previous, he’s saying the drop in output isn’t okay, even though it’s technically what’s required of me per the contract. Can he put me on a pip straight away or is there certain steps he needs to follow (and explained to me) before a pip comes into play? Any legal advice/ tips on what to do appreciated. I don’t want to lose my job as I have kids and I like my colleagues. Obviously “work harder” is going to be mentioned but if I’m doing the same level of work and pay as those around me, why should I be going above and beyond if there’s no financial gain from this.

Hi all, diagnosed about 6 weeks ago and started on Tyvense. Initially on 20mg and no effect, so increased to 30mg the next day. Stuck with that for 4 days and felt no difference whatsoever. Increased it to 40mg for the next week (all discussed with doctor at the start, wasn’t just self medicating 😂) but there was no change still.
Spoke with doctor and he increased it to 50mg and 60mg to try.
First 2 days on the 50mg I was able to work better, but it coincided with a period in work where everything was at the highest stress level and I always go into “firefighting mode” - so I wasn’t sure if it was the meds or the situation.
3rd day on 50mg it revealed it was just the situation as I couldn’t get anything done in work again and then the last 5 days on 60mg have done nothing.

Consulted with doctor again and we’re going to try a new medication next week (possibly concerta, haven’t gotten it from the pharmacy yet as he said to take a few days off tyvense before taking these new ones)

My question is: how long does it usually take to feel any difference? Is it an obvious change? What do you do to help feel an impact? I exercise regularly and eat a decent diet already, and good amounts of water everyday.
I just get so frustrated in work when I know I have tasks I need to get done and I just can’t bring myself to do them. I thought when I was diagnosed I was finally at the end of the road on fixing it, but now that I’ve been through one drug and had no effect, I’m scared it’ll never be sorted.

Apologies for the length, guess I’m using this to get it off my chest.

TL;DR: first set of meds didnt work even with increased dosage, should the others work or what others experienced with this? How aware will I be of the difference to know it’s “working”.

Thanks!

Can anyone recommend someone to complete a snag list for a new build house please? Should be (hopefully) getting a call soon about getting one done and want to have it in as quick as I can. Also, how long have you waited to get it done? Just want to get an understanding of expected timelines. Thanks!

Buying a new build in a hardwater area. Looking for recommendations on what’s the best system to avoid having any damage to our utilities and also for it to be drinkable.
If anyone has any recommendations on who to install with, also would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend any vets in/ near Wexford town? With a previous pet, we went to O’Shea Bramley. The level of care was brilliant, but it was so expensive and I’ve heard they’re expensive compared to others.

Also been to Boro Valley in Bree for new pup being spayed and they were brilliant, they’re just a little outside a comfortable radius distance wise.

Yes, I’m aware I’m starting to sound like Goldilocks, ones too expensive, another’s too far😂

Moving back down from Dublin so will need to set her up with a new vet and wanted to get opinions! Thanks!
