Was anyone typed in-person as a different season?

Hi! I have posted here before and was typed by HOC twice—once as dark/cool winter and once as true/dark autumn. After some time with each palette, nothing has felt right. The winter palette felt harsh with my warm features. The autumn palette seems like it matches, like many people would say I look like a classic autumn…but I don’t feel I shine in it. I feel like a monochromatic earth tone blob. The colors feel kind of muddy and sad on me, but it’s hard to tell if it’s just my personal preference.

I have hair that my hairdresser called a medium warm brown. It’s a bit more neutral ash brown right at roots, but as soon as it grows out of my head becomes very chestnut/reddish brown, lots of copper and gold when the sun hits it. My eyes are medium coppery hazel brown. They don’t look incredibly bold/bright to me, yet they don’t have gray and I think have kind of a clear warm glow. My skin is pale and it’s hard to say what color. AI says it’s peach. My best foundation match seems to be Glossier VL3 (very light yellow) with a drop of blue to tone down the orange. So to me, my skin looks somewhat pale peachy champagne, yet kind of neutral and sort of rosy. Idk lol.

The confusing thing is that when I was draped, no one thought I was spring. So is it even possible? Or is it possible that since I don’t meet the stereotypical coloring, everyone in the room including me had a bias against it?

Has anyone tried Lisa Eldridge T1?

I’ve tried T1.5 which is a bit too saturated and golden and T3 which looks dark orange on me. I’m curious if T1 could work, but I’m curious what your experience has been. I’m pale and I think somewhat muted and neutral ish. I’m not like super pink as I can see some yellow tones in my skin, yet warm foundations don’t seem to match. Also Glossier VL3 is a little too peachy on me and VL2 is also too peachy on me.

Is T1 super pink and would also look orange on me, or is it soft and neutral?

Which is the closest match for me?

Left to right (starting from ear) Lisa Eldridge T1.5, Glossier VL2, Glossier VL3, Merit Uniform Very Light Neutral. Sorry that the fourth is hard to see with the angle, but it’s looking very saturated peach so I don’t think that’s the one. I feel all colors tend to pull aggressively peach and orange on me. But then even the fair olive one looks kind of saturated and golden. Is it possible to just be straight pale with no undertone? Everything is just more colorful than me.

Cool olives: are your best foundations peachy+blue?

My best foundation matches seem to be fair neutral peachy foundations with blue mixer added (Glossier VL3+blue, Lisa Eldridge T3+blue). By contrast, Lisa Eldridge T1.5 is a bit too golden and mixed with blue becomes too green. Haus Labs F1 fair olive concealer was dark orange on me.

AI is telling me peachy foundations mixed with blue makes cool olive. Is this true? Or do cool olives find some other mix works better?

I always used to think brick lipsticks were flattering because there was an effect of my face sort of flooding with color, like very vibrant. But looking at photos, I’m wondering if warm colors just amp up my facial redness. The surface redness on my face looks warm/saturated peach while my neck looks muted gray/green/yellow or muted neutral. So I find that the more warm my face looks, the more it looks mask like. If you have anything similar, do you find more mauve/plum type colors cool down preachiness to make your face match your neck more? I know I probably need to get myself a green serum, but in no makeup days I’d like to learn to make my skin look its best!
