So, the last post I made was about making a feature film. I’ve come to realize, that’s asking for a lot lol. To expect someone online who doesn’t know you to even want to read a 110 page script, is not the most realistic way to go about a project. Let alone all of the other difficult components that would come with it.
So, I’ve decided to write a short film. I’ve never written a short film before, but I figured, if I actually want to collaborate with other people in the area who’re interested in film, it would be easier and more realistic for everyone involved to work with a 10 page script instead.
Regarding the short film, and this is where the Lehigh Valley actually becomes relevant to this post, it is loosely based off the Hanoverville Roadhouse. Not at all about any real accounts, or any actual history of the restaurant, just a fictional take I created as I grew up near the Roadhouse growing up and always heard various ghost stories about it.
If anyone is interested to any degree whatsoever, whether it’s acting, or crew, please reach out.
Thank you, I’ll post the script.
I’ve written features, but never tried writing a short. Would love to get this made as it’d be actually potentially doable to make.
I was inspired to do this by an old restaurant near my house. There’s many ghost stories that circulate around the restaurant but none have really ever been officially confirmed.
Any assistance whatsoever would be game changing for me, the only thing holding me back is lacking any sort of budget
Is anyone in the valley interested in working on a film together, whether you want to act, film, crew, anything would help. I can share the script with you if interested.
Also, if anyone has access to a college campus that would help, as the film largely takes place on one.
Thank you
I ask, as I have a script that I’ve been told numerous times at this point, that it would be perfect for people in that exact position.
And I don’t mean for this to be some petty self promo bs, I just feel the need to say this.
The nearly consistent feedback I’ve gotten is, it’s a perfect story/script for anyone who’s ready to take a chance moving into that direction, for unknown actors, as well as directors. Because It’s highly engaging while being extremely low budget, it would give the actors involved consistent potential stand out moments, (they’re sharp, larger than life characters), its minimal locations and cast, and it has a distinct voice and atmosphere to it that isn’t forgotten.
It truly has potential benefits for any younger, currently unestablished people involved in film.
