2 Box's, ~$150, ~900 CADR, 10 ACH, 700 sq ft

I was shopping for air purifiers on Amazon last week during the prime sales, and was highly vexed about having bought two Coway Mighty's for $300 that would provide a mere 450 CADR. It wasn't until I was second guessing my purchase, which prompted me to research air purification further, that I learned about CR boxes. I quickly switched gears, stayed up till 3am furiously studying the matter, and figured out parts and plans to assemble multiple CR boxes for half the cost and twice the performance.

Lasko 20" box fan: $25 (Walmart)

(4) Filtrete MPR 1900 20x25x1 filters: $50 (BJ's)

I stood 2 filters upright, and taped the edges together. I then added the remaining filters, one at a time, taping the edges as I went. I cut out small squares of cardboard, and taped them to the top inside corners of the constructed box of filters (to minimize gaps between fan housing and filter perimeter). I placed the fan on top, and turned it on!

I know it's not finished, but I just wanted something quick for the moment, and I'll optimize them over the next few days. I plan to add a shroud, better seal the area where the fan and filters meet, add a fixed bottom panel, and completely black out the units with duct tape and gaffer tape.

I also intend to build a unit with the same fan model and a single Filtrete MPR 1000 20x20x4 filter attached directly to the intake side for discreet and exclusive bathroom space usage - just waiting on the filter to arrive.

Thanks for teaching me about this process, everyone. And for any newcomers, know it's really just that easy.

Would multiple smaller units be better than one large unit?

Hey all, I'm looking to purify my 900 sq. ft. apartment, and it seems that multiple smaller units will achieve better CADR coverage per dollar spent than a single larger unit will provide.

For example, the Coway AP 1512 Mighty, on sale for $150, provides a CADR of 240.

And the Coway AP 2015 Airmega 400, on sale for $350, provides a CADR of 330.

For the cost of two Mighty's, I can achieve a significantly higher CADR than a single Airmega 400, for $50 less. Am I missing something, or is purchasing multiple small units clearly the more economical option?

Would love to keep the beard during job interviews, any hope?

Even at middle age, I'm prone to acne breakouts, and I've relied on facial hair to help conceal blemishes for a while now. I figure clean shaven is probably the safest professional look, but the thought of meeting a potential employer while boasting a bulging zit is a massive confidence killer.

The problem is that my cheek hair density is so thin, especially as it nears the chin (highlighted in red), I can't grow a full beard in the conventional sense. And the underside of my neck is so sparse it's not worth growing out at all. That being said, I'm not entirely positive I have adequate coverage and fullness to warrant keeping any of it from a professional perspective.

My girlfriend insists that if I'm to keep it, I should keep it tight (using a 1/8" guard, featured in the second set of photos), but after comparing and contrasting the two lengths exhibited, I feel as if the longer length (using a 1/4" guard, featured in the first set of photos) looks better.

So what say you all? Is it worth keeping at all? Should I make some adjustments? I'm new to manicuring my facial hair in such detail, so I'm open to suggestions on the jawlines, upper cheek lines, moustache grooming, etc. I'm happy to receive any criticism and advice, and I thank you for it in advance.

New to suits. How tight should the jacket be?

I purchased my first suit from Alain Dupetite, and it just came in. It's for a wedding next week, so upon arrival, my girlfriend and I rushed to the tailor to have it fit to form in a timely fashion, and I didn't think to take photos before leaving. The attached photo is from the website listing and accurately reflects the style of suit, but the fit on mine may be marginally more snug around the torso and upper arms.

I'll say that while in a relaxed standing pose, I think that the suit contours to my tall and slender build very well. The shoulder line matches my frame, and the torso curvature conforms to my natural physique that struck me as very pleasing. Over all, I thought out of the box, the structure of the suit complimented me well; the tailor and my girlfriend agreed.

What struck me as concerning and uncomfortable, was that my shoulder movement was severely hampered in a way that I'm not accustomed to. Anything much more than an outreached hand to shake another's, resulted in noticeable stress of the fabric across back between the shoulders. Simply leaning over to put my shoes on after donning the jacket was a very cumbersome affair.

I gravitate towards very casual, and even athletic oriented clothing, and my nicest attire consists of budget chinos from Target and few off the shelf button ups acquired through the years, so I am used to moving freely and capably when dressed normally.

I was initially fitted by Men's Warehouse to get my measurements, and I took those with me to shop for a budget suit to own. I was given a slim 42L as the ideal size as a 6'5, 200lb individual. Trying on a jacket there, and few other department stores before purchasing online at a favorable price, I'll say I recall the jackets feeling more accommodating in movement, though it's likely the department store offerings were not of a slim fit.

I wasn't aware of the X stress test, and the palm in the chest area as valid fit tests, so I can't say how my suit fares in those metrics, but when I addressed my concerns with the tailor and girlfriend, they both kindly dismissed them by saying suits are for looking good and not doing much more than standing, walking, and sitting, which I'll admit I'm able to do in the suit. All in all, the sleeves are to be lengthened by the maximum amount, the waist to be brought in by an inch or two, and the pants lengths to be hemmed appropriately.

TLDR - How restrictive should a slim fit jacket be, as a tall slender individual? How much motion should you be able to exercise around the shoulders without feeling a tense tugging from the limitations of the jacket size? Standing, walking, sitting, and shaking hands is about all I can do without hindrance, and much more than that feels like I'm likely stressing seams to failure.

Thanks for any input!
