Got fouled off Bradley Beach. Snot Grass?

Tried surf fishing tonight and our lines were immediately fouled by some clear jelly like crap which stuck to everything it touched. It weighed down the lines and made it impossible to fish. I’ve never seen this before but some research after we got home says it might by “snot algae” or “snot grass”. Anyone else run into this ?

AIGP PASSED. Here is how I did it (and you can too).

Took Dr. David's training course including 3 of the 4 practice exams.

Preparation began with the Dr. David AIGP Certification Masterclass. Upon completing the course, a diagnostic assessment (22Academy) was taken cold, without any prior review, to identify domain-level strengths and weaknesses before beginning practice question work. The diagnostic results informed where to focus remediation effort rather than treating all domains equally.

The highest-value activity throughout preparation was systematic wrong-answer analysis assisted by Claude (free tier). After every domain quiz and every full practice exam, each incorrect answer by was reviewed by AI, not just to identify the correct answer but to:

  • Diagnose the precise reason for the error (background interference, adjacent concept confusion, pure recall gap, sequencing error, or exam construction trap)
  • Extract the underlying principle distinction that the question was testing
  • Build a reusable mental model or decision rule that would apply to future questions of the same type

This approach produced the exam defense techniques document organically, i.e., each technique emerged from a real error rather than being generated abstractly.

Three custom study documents were developed and refined throughout preparation:

  • Flashcard Reference: a two-column table of 47 terms and exam-ready anchor definitions covering every major concept cluster that appeared in wrong answers across all practice sessions
  • Exam Defense Techniques: a numbered list of 45 personalized techniques derived from wrong-answer pattern analysis, organized by the type of cognitive error each technique addresses
  • Quiz Review: a focused reference document containing unique content not duplicated in the other two documents, including regulatory framework tables, vendor assessment process stages, and governance program sequencing.

Practice exams were spaced to allow genuine remediation time between sittings rather than clustering them. One exam was deliberately held in reserve and never taken, preserving at least one completely fresh assessment instrument through the end of preparation.

Recommendations

  • Begin with a diagnostic assessment before investing heavily in any single preparation resource. The diagnostic will tell you where to focus and prevent over-investing in areas of existing strength.
  • Do not skip the wrong-answer review. It is the single highest-ROI activity in the preparation process. Getting a question wrong and moving on without understanding why produces no learning value.
  • Build your own exam defense techniques document. Generic test-taking advice is less useful than personalized rules derived from your own actual errors. Every error you make and analyze becomes a rule that protects you from making it again.
  • Schedule the exam before you feel completely ready. A fixed exam date regulates preparation pace more effectively than any study plan. The goal is to be ready by the date, not to wait until you feel ready before setting one.

Mounting options /questions

I don’t have an accessible roof location for the Wittboy and mounting to a vinyl fence seems inadvisable, so I’m open to suggestions. I was thinking of a 3/4” galvanized pole stuck in the ground with about 8 feet above ground but that seems wobbly. So now I’m thinking of 1” pipe for the bottom 4 feet and then a coupler to 3/4”’ width the rest of the way. Does this seem feasible?

Please make it easier to assign items to different vaults.

Just moved to Family Plan from Individual and I have over 1,000 items in my vault that need to be sorted out amongst 4 people (4 individual vaults) and one shared Family vault. Every time I drag an item to a vault, the list snaps back to the top. Very frustrating. It would be great if at least the list stayed in place, even better if there was a "select" toggle where I can pick a number of items and drag them to a particular vault. As it is I am at the end of the letter "E" and have probably scrolled 3 miles.

Pretty much the title. Pull string for our attic stairs broke (or maybe the knot slipped out?). Either way I need a plan to open this so I can install a hook and eyelet system. I was thinking a toggle bolt with a hook end (like the kind used to hang plants) in that same spot where the string is but I’m not entirely sure. There are two sets of divots which I assume is where there is some more structural support but they are so far off center I’m not comfortable using that area. Give me your best advice Reddit!
