I currently drive a CX-9, and while it was in for service I was given a CX-90 as a loaner. After spending a few days with it, I came away really impressed. I honestly loved the experience.

The biggest complaint people seem to have is the launch from a standstill, and I get it. It can be a little jumpy or jerky, almost like driving a manual but I must say it’s much improved and smoother than the 2024 and 2025 models. Once you're rolling (2nd gear and up), it's incredibly smooth and has a ton of power (never found it lacking even beyond 4000 rpm unlike the cx9)

Today I also test drove an MDX Type S to see how it compared. I didn't get a chance to really floor it, but it was powerful.
A few things I noticed right away:
- The MDX doors feel more solid and have that satisfying "thunk" when they close.
- The interior is premium (do not like the gloss black plastic), but I wouldn't say it's better than the CX-90. They're just different approaches to luxury.
- The MDX is much smoother pulling away from a stop, which I assume is due to the torque converter vs. Mazda's wet clutch setup.
- Once moving, though, the CX-90 feels like it has more raw power. You really feel the engine, and it has a more substantial, planted character and you can really feel the car follow the steering. It's hard to describe, but it just feels different.
- I liked that the MDX's panoramic sunroof opens much wider than the CX-90's.
- Massaging seats is a nice feature, wish it was an option on the cx90
- The flat floor in the MDX's second row is also a nice touch.
- The third row, however, felt much tighter than the CX-90's. Overall, the MDX felt more compact inside, even though some reviews claim it has more interior space.
- One thing I didn't expect: while I'm not a huge fan of the CX-90's gear shifter, I liked the MDX's push-button shifter even less.

Overall, if I were shopping today, I don't think the MDX
Type S changed my opinion of the CX-90. The Acura is definitely more refined off the line and has some nice touches, but I actually preferred the way the CX-90 drives and the overall sense of space inside.

Curious if anyone else has cross-shopped these two and came away with a similar impression.

While comparing the two I realized that they are both 40mm and same thickness but the PAM01526 has an open case back, 300m water resistance, hacking seconds but the PAM01372 has a closed case back, non hacking seconds and only 100m of water resistance.

Why did Panerai use two different movements here in the same case size instead of the same movement across the 40mm luminor line? Any chance it will get upgraded this year? I like the luminor line and have smaller wrists so 44mm would be too big. This is holding me back from purchasing my first Panerai

Just drove a Turbo Premium Sport with 280hp. Some things I noticed:

1. 1-2 gear is smoother than previous years but there is still that weird shift from 1-2 where it shift like a manual car and not smooth like a traditional automatic. It’s an odd feeling that I have not been able to get over.

2. Why didn’t Mazda include a torque converter. This car is amazing in every other way and drives/handles so well, except for the way it shifts. I cannot seem to understand the reason behind the move to the wet clutch.

3. I shift to 2nd gear using the paddle shifters and then drive away from a full stop, the jerkiness and stutter from 1-2 did not exist anymore and it was so smooth. So if this is all it takes for the car to start in a smoother manner, why not tune the transmission and eliminate that first gear?

4. While 280hp seems sufficient for day to day passing and overtaking, is there a significant different in power in lower and mid range with the turbo S 340hp?

5. I thought the iOS26 update allowed streaming of Netflix and YouTube using AirPlay? Does this not work on the cx90?

Hope this is the right place to ask this question and the answers will be without brand bias and focus on the cars alone.
I’ve always liked the X5 and was considering it for a while. I noticed few weeks ago that Audi announced the new 2027 Q7 and I quite like it as well. The features seem strong, it has the option of 2 additional seats and a much more powerful engine.
Would like to know what you’ll think and why would you pick one over the other?

Was looking at the CX90. Love Mazda’s for their handling and the inline 6 but have seen the issues people have been having with it. I’m aware majority of the issues have been resolved in the 2026 model and through recalls.
I am currently looking at some 7 seaters.

Would you opt for the 2027 telluride or should i wait for the 2027 CX90 that will be released later this year?
