cold relief (wind-heat?) thick yellow tongue coating

the main symptoms I'm having are a sore and scratchy throat, headaches, and full body exhaustion. I've been taking different medicines for throat pain and chrysanthemum tea. I took gan mao ling a couple of times yesterday (it started late Friday night) and then forgot to take any today.

any recommendations for hard hat sweatband covers?

Our safety guy got us all new hard hats and the forehead band is awfullll. I have minor sensory issues to begin with, but the material feels gross when I sweat, and makes my want to rub my forehead raw. I've seen covers made out of different materials, and I'm wondering which is most comfortable/less noticeable as you work.

gopher owners: do they ever get used to you?

I'm new to gopher snakes. I had been considering them for a bit when I was looking for a new snake, but I was more concerned about choosing something for husbandry requirements rather than temperament. I picked like three or four types of snake, and then went to a show and weighed the options and chose this guy.

I got him maybe 6 or 7 weeks ago and he still absolutely *hates* me lol this was directly after I put his water bowl back and he hissed, rattled, and struck at me. he's just a baby, and I know a lot of babies are spicier because they're just more scared all the time, but he kinda spooks me! (its kinda funny that I thought the hissing was cute, but it makes me jump every time).

I try handling him to get him more comfortable, but I also don't want to do it too much since he doesn't like it. does that make sense? like, if he never settles down when being held, I don't want to just keep doing it and make him more angry.

I'm not gonna lie, he does scare me a little and I know it's silly because he's so tiny and just scared, but I just want to know there's hope for us because I don't know if I can deal with him like this as an adult. If anyone has any tips or stories about gophers or similar guys, I'd love to hear them.

I'm looking for a larger enclosure and I'm wondering if anyone's every tried one of these

they come in different sizes, but I was looking at the 48" long one. would there be enough ventilation? it's acrylic, so I would think drilling more air holes maybe in the top half of the panels would be easy enough.

I don't have a picture right now, but her gills are very red and swollen.

I went into Petco for my weekly walk around with the dog, and I guess I've grabbed enough of their deeply discounted rejects, that the girl saw me come in and said she had a girl with a gill infection and asked if I'd take her and that she'd been waiting for me to come in lol I immediately said yes but I've honestly never dealt with the problem before.
