2022 hybrid: high-frequency vibration when braking firmly at highway speeds. Could it be anything other than warped rotors?

2022 Maverick Hybrid, 60k miles. I typically have a light foot and don't end up using the mechanical brakes much in normal driving. The pads still have plenty of meat.

On a road trip recently, I noticed what feels like warped rotors...a high-frequency and speed-relative vibration when braking firmly (i.e. beyond the regen range when the mechanical pads engage) at highway speeds. It happened consistently throughout the ~3k mile trip, so it isn't just your typical surface corrosion that needed to get burned off. I don't notice it at lower speeds, maybe because there's just less mechanical brake engagement, or maybe it's a harmonic frequency kind of thing.

My only hesitation is that with my driving and the hybrid's regen system, the rotors really shouldn't be warped this soon. Is there anything else it could be?

Asking the big questions: Did Dave's cancel their weekly pizza special program?

Historically, they've had rotating weekly pizza specials where one of their specialty pizza flavors is $17 instead of the normal $22. For the past month at least, I don't think they've done it. Is this more backdoor inflation creeping in?

Thread Yale lock connected to V3 hub; do I need a second Thread router to get it in Google Home?

From what I have found, we are still in a transitionary period where stuff that is technologically possible hasn't yet been implemented by Google. The issues:

  1. The Smartthings integration to Google Home doesn't import locks for some reason

  2. Linking a non-Google Thread network to Google via Matter doesn't work

It is purely a Google software issue that causes both those issues, there's nothing in the protocols themselves that requires those limitations. Right?

So, to work around those limitations I think what I need to do is:

  1. Get another Thread router connected to the Google side of things

  2. Share the Thread lock from Smartthings to Google using the ST app's "Share with other services" which will also then link the two Thread networks together for all future devices.

Is that all correct, or is there some way I am missing to get Google to connect to the V3 hub's Thread network?

I know that you definitely "should" wash out your tank with an actual detergent to ensure you don't cross contaminate. But do you actually do that you yourself personally?

I just go for a thorough rinse and shake and run some clean water through the nozzle and call it good, and haven't noticed any ill effects, even when going from non-selective to selective. What do the rest of you do?

I just received a(nother) product that arrived broken because amazon didn't package it correctly. They put it in a paper bag when it is really something that should have been in a cardboard box with padding.

If I report it to Vine CS and have them remove it from my review list, what happens on the seller's end, does amazon reimburse them for the item they broke? Or is the seller just SOL and doesn't get their product, or their money, or their review?

The answer to that question will guide how I handle broken products in the future....whether I report anything and everything to amazon so they reimburse the seller, or whether I should go ahead and write a review to salvage what I can for the seller if the damage doesn't render the product completely unusable.

I have a Smartthings V2 hub, and picked up an Aeotec Hub 2 v4 to add Thread capabilities. I was planning to keep both hubs so I can retain z-wave on the old hub. Now that I am setting up the Aeotec, I am realizing there's fine print that the v2 hub doesn't actually support hub groups. So is it impossible for me to have one cohesive network with both z-wave and thread devices? Or will the two hubs simply existing on the same IP subnet and location in the app mean that they will work together seamlessly, and all I'm missing from not having a Hub Group is the automatic fallback/redundancy?
