Variable knot to attach pull-up bar to tree

Hi all,

this might be a strange question ;) I have a wooden pull-up bar (basically just a wood bar with holes) and would like to to a e.g. tree on the go. So it needs to be set-up quikly and ideally also adjusted easily.

May ideas was the following I have 2 ropes (left/right) and i would attach each rope to a carabiner and leave is like that al the time. This way it will be easier to throw the rope over a branch as well.

The other end is threaded though the holes in the wood bar and gets some kind of loop to attach to the carabiner. That way i can just hand it up and down quickly.

So far so easy ;) But know i need to adjust the position of the loop easly so i can adjust the length of the left and right side. Ideally quite easily to get the bar straight even after attaching it to see branch.

Is there any easy way to do this?

Thanks a lot!!!

Unraid: Cache pool drive showing errors — best way to migrate data and replace the drive?

HI all,

One of my cache pool devices (sde) is throwing errors, so I need to replace it. Or at least i think so 😉

If I see it correctly the sde is the parity drive of that pool. Correct?

so....

- I have a **cache pool** (with the failing sde) and a separate **data pool**

- The data pool was originally created just to hold my appdata folder and a few other things

https://preview.redd.it/nq5sys65xm7h1.jpg?width=1499&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ec137154bea9e01d938a866edadd8e0f67f744a

I would...

  1. Move all data from the data pool into the cache pool

  2. Once the data pool is empty, delete it

  3. Reassign the drives from the old data pool as needed

Question:

  1. Does that make sense? 😉

  2. How do I move over the data from the data pool? Do I just change the share's preferred location and start the mover afterwards?

  3. Once the data pool is empty, can I simply delete it in the Unraid UI and then reassign those drives — or is there more to it?

Thanks!

Hi all,

this might be a bit strange question 😉We (family with kids 8/10yo) have longer car rides from time to time. I would like to use the time to play some games and thought maybe RPGs are a good idea. But: None of us every played one (me included 😉).

--> Do you have a suggestion for a easy to get and understand RPG:
-- with ideally with premade characters, scenarios that guides us easily in the Genre
-- That can be played without a table [rolling dice is fine]
-- Guides me (as the moderator) in what I have to do
-- Has a kids friendly setting (some fighting is fine)
-- Ideally is print&play
-- Ideally is in German, but i could also translate on the fly

Thanks so much

Hi all,

just started rope jumping (more tan just casually), mostly a exercise for overall fitness. No tricks (yet ;)). I'm using 2 different ropes:

  • 1 Speedrope hat is quite light
  • 1 hereope with 1/4lb rope
  • [i have the 1/2lb but don't use it yet]

Video from side

Video from front

I manage to to ~200 basic jumps without skipping but not very often... still I'M happy ;) I noticed a couple of things i would like to get your opinion on:

  • I feel the rope touching my feet quite often, even if i don't trip... so it seems to be close
  • On the "front video" it looks like the rope is not rotated completely symmetrical. Not sure if its the gopro angle. But i also have the feeling the my right food brushes the opre more often than the left
  • Just general advice on form is very welcome ;)

Thanks so much
