I know nothing about tires someone else pick this for me

Hi, trying to replace tires on a budget, as I have a tire with a bulge on the side and didn’t plan to replace them until this came up. These are the tires that came with my car when I bought it, probably hit a curb and caused this as the tires have like 30k miles whoops.

I have a 3000 mile drive (there and back totaling 3000) in a week. I need to replace at least 2 but plan to replace the other 2 upon my return. I live in Colorado so I need all season, I have FWD, current tires that came with the car from the manufacturer are 215/55 R17 H
I also do it drive often, this big drive is a one off, I work from home and once a year max I’ll do a larger drive to visit family typically but otherwise car isn’t not driven around for work or anything like that.

Below are 2 of the cheapest tire options, I plan to replace 2 now and the other 2 at a later time (like a month or less from now ideally). Unless everyone is adamant about buying nicer ones I really don’t want to pay more than 275 for the 2 tires after installation is all said and done.

Les Schwab - iMOVE PT plus 215/55R17 94 H priced at $262 for 2 tires out the door. Tires are 87 each - warranty 50k miles (first 2 pics)

Discount Tires - Sentury TOURING P 215/55 R17 94V SL priced at $238 for 2 tires out the door. Tires are 81 each - warranty 40k miles (last 2 pics)

Guess where I’m from. age 26

I've been everywhere, man. I've been everywhere, man. Crossed the desert's bare, man. I've breathed the mountain air, man. Of travel I've a-had my share, man.

I work out of Colorado but my company is based in AZ. Is it okay they pull state withholding for AZ?

Hi, probably worded that badly. I work remotely and the company is based in AZ, i am one of 4 people that WFH in the company. I originally was hired as a remote worker while I was in California then i moved to Colorado late last year. However i just now noticed on my check it says it pulls Arizona State Withholding for my taxes. Is this okay? Or is it supposed to be where I live at? Tried googling it but couldn’t get an answer that I understood and would love to hear from all you experts who can enlighten me far better than my own ability.

Thank you so much in advance and sorry if this is a dumb question.

Edit: To clarify, I informed employer before move, during and after I moved. There is an email trail of this and the appropriate people confirming that I was “all set”
I also in our pay system, Paycom, updated my address as well as soon as I signed my new lease. I see a lot of comments doubting this and idk what to say besides I did all the steps and such, that’s why I was confused if it was correct as I didn’t see how an error would have been made. Now I’ve reached out to the team that handles payroll and our HR team now since everyone in the comments is confirming this was pulling the incorrect taxes. I hope this can be an easy and quick fix.

Thank you to those who explained it as I would have never known. Here is to hoping my taxes aren’t completely fucked this year haha.

Drive through a Chicago or St. Louis?

Hi driving at the end of the month, i was originally planning to stop overnight in St. Louis, however everyone is saying it’s not a safe place to stop. I’ve also been told that adding an hour and a half is worth it to drive through Chicago.

I’m driving from Denver, CO area to Virginia Beach, VA area. Driving as a solo female if it makes a difference and I’m trying to split the trip into only one overnight. I can leave as early as possible on both travel days and be fine but want to make sure I’m making the smart decision as far as safety goes/ generally not being as bored on the drive if possible.

I would have loved to make this a longer road trip but I’m trying to keep it on a budget and realistically only have the 2 days I can drive (personal reasons).

I’ve driven 16 hours in a day before (wouldn’t do that much at a time again, I think I cap out at 14)

All that to say, which route would you take? Both are about the same time wise with the Chicago one being slightly longer. Also would you say not to stop in ST. Louis if i take the shorter route? Every time I look at a safe area to park at overnight and book a cheap hotel it’s riddled with warnings to not stay there lol.

Doctor prescribed prednisone without accutane?

Just started the process. Was told I was going to be taking prednisone for 1 week then given a break then again on my 3rd week. I was under the impression this would be with my micro dose accutane but i was not given any accutane when I picked it up from the pharmacy.

I’ve reached out to my derm but they are slow to respond and wanted to see if this was at all normal for anyone else or if there was a mess up?

I hate the VW taos seats

I love my Taos but these seats are so uncomfortable and are making me slouch more and more. My shoulders hit right where the curved in part is and it’s so irritating because I’m shorter in stature that it makes these seats awful.

AT THE SAME TIME HOWEVER I do have a friend who is over 6ft who also sat in the seats and mentioned the same thing. I love this car to death but I am highly considering trying to find a pair of seats to swap it out for at this point.

That’s all I hate these seats.

Bridal fabrics? And fabrics for underwear

Hi weird combo but I’m making my best friend a robe for her wedding and wanted to also make her a bralette sets any suggestions on getting good bridal style fabrics. Tried fabric mart and didn’t see a good selection for that sort of thing but figured it would be good to check if anyone knows a good sight for satins, silks, and cottons

Drive or fly to the wedding

Hi so hey mods hope this isn’t too big of a decision but it has a lot of context that i provided. So just because a lot of text doesn’t mean big decision.

TLDR
Driving is Estimated $415 in total for travel but 50 hours of traveling. However i would have access to my car the entire time and could pack more

Flying is estimated $925 in total for travel but 25 hours of traveling. However this would only let me pack a small personal items worth of things, and i wouldn’t have access of a car until 3 days after i arrive.

Wedding in late August
I’m best friend of the bride.
Haven’t been out to where she lives before and she wanted me to come Tuesday/Wednesday before the wedding on Saturday.

Factors I’m in Colorado Springs, CO she is in Virginia Beach, VA

Flight cost no carry on no checked bag round trip is 350~ and has 4 hour lay overs

My car is newer and gets about 380 miles for a full 12 gallon tank.
Gas estimate is I’ll need 4.5 tanks to get to the 1700 mile drive there which would be about 140. Plus gas there and gas back would be let’s just say in all 325 in gas.

Another factor is the drive is 24 hours, and i would drive there alone most likely but my bf would join me on drive home. As I’m arriving earlier than him, but he could just drive back with me. On Sunday.

I would need a hotel on drive there which I’m estimating to be 75 dollars but on way back we could drive back to back or car camp together and i would feel safe with us both.

So gas on way back would be split so my portion would be

140 + 75 =215
My hotel would be 75

So 75 +215=290 For there and back, i would also have a car the entire time. This would get rid of the 65 dollar a day cost to rent one.

If i were to fly i would rent one once my bf flew in. That would thursday to sunday so about 3-4 days so that alone would be 195 ~ 260 to rent a car.

Hotel wise for both options we would need a hotel Friday and Saturday night as the nights leading up i would stay with my friend. So 125 each night for a cheaper hotel in VB but my bf and i would each buy a single night.

One more factor is if we too my car and parked it at airport it would cost about 75 each from my bf and i to park it after he arrived at airport and we wouldn’t have anyone available here to give us a ride to save costs.

So total costs for both are below

Driving
~ $415
Time 24 hours drive there and 24 hours on way back (i would only drive half or less that half on way back.)
So total of rounding up let’s say 50 hours in total

Flying
~ $925
Time would be 1.5 hours to air port on way there
Plus a layover of 6 hours each way. And the flights are about 5 hours (estimated 11 hour travel days on the booking website i have)
So total time would be 25 hours in total travel time

Anyone know the best time to find a house or townhouse? Looking for advice on timing.

Edit : hi a lot of people are giving house buying but I’m looking to rent a house. Not buy just rent. Adding this at the top to hopefully steer the convo away from buying.

Hi, just found out my apartment needs 60 days notice for moving out, stressing a bit as the house/ townhouse rentals on Zillow are a little abysmal currently. My fiancé and I are trying to decide if we should do month to month for a bit but we would still have to give 60 days at some point before moving or if now is our best shot for finding a house as ever. It’s a bit hard as we have only ever lived in apartments but really want to make the step to go for a house. Houses just go so fast and this timeline feels so daunting.

If it makes a difference at all… as to what size we are looking for anything with 2 bedrooms or more, and an outdoor space as we have a small dog. Sorry if this is not the normal post I just have no clue what I’m doing and don’t want to mess things up with this. And the timing is stressful.

Oh I also have looked at Facebook and most posts I see are roommate wanted or houses outside our budget of 2k. :/

RENTING BTW

Okay I have a weird one but how would you do the seam??

Hi my bf asked for help with redoing the fabric on the door panels, I thought no problem but I am realizing I’m not as naturally gifted with this as I thought.

He is going to use spray adhesive to attach to the door, and then it gets tucked in the sides. Unfortunately I can’t take this piece out to trace it so I’ve been using old fabric and just making my best traced version of it to try to get the shape right. First pic is no fabric no lines. 2nd is seam on the arm rest, and the other using the pocket. Do I even need a seam?? I’m convinced I do as I’m using a vinyl fake looking leather fabric.also imagine an handle that a normal door would have, I’ll attach a picture of what a traditional one looks like.

I added one I found for sale online that looks like my 2nd set of lines but wasn’t sure if that one even looked good or made sense to everyone. My bf has been saying a seam where I drew my first line at, I’ve been wondering about a seam at all.

What should I change this neck to? I don’t like the cowl

Hi, my friends wedding is in a couple months and I got this dress that I really loved besides the neck line. Would love suggestion on alterations thou think would look good. Right now I’m sorted thinking a v neck? It connects behind the neck currently and has a lot of extra fabric at the chest.
I’m also considering sewing in bra pads as well to give more shape and so I don’t have to wear a sticky bra the day of.

Also it will be in very hot and humid weather like think 90%humidity

I know it’s snowing, but I would love to hear if anyone has any trails or good routes to run a 5k/10k for when it’s now snowing lol.

I hate running indoors and it’s hard to find any flat pretty spots near me that are flat enough where I won’t die mid run as a newbie. I also get demotivated if I’m running on a track, I truly need a place where I can turn my brain off and just follow a path.

-I live near GoG and would love if anyone knows of a good trail(or just a pretty not super busy road) nearby to run at.
I’ve considered GoG itself but I get lost super fast there on the not main parts, and the main parts are always pretty busy when I could run.

I appreciate any and all advice I’m just now getting into running and have only ever really gone hiking (a lot of incline lol) pic of my cat as advance payment fee for location suggestions. Thank you !

Okay so here is the recipe below. My question is is there a way to freeze these properly so I can just have them ready without them getting freezer burn?

My family doesn’t cook a lot and so they had no advice and when I go to google it it is mainly talking about freezing meat etc in a vacuum sealer. I really would love to be able to make a large batch and have them for the following couple weeks in the freezer easily accessible. I added the recipe in case the ingredients make a big difference but so far my plans are possibly to lay them on a tray with parchment paper until they are frozen and then put them into freezer bags? I’m just concerned because each time I open it, the air let in will cause freezer burn. I know it won’t last FOREVER but it would be nice to be able to batch these out to easily grab before I air fry them for a month at most.

Thank you for any and all advice. Even if the advice is that it won’t work. I would love just to get my expectations set straight at the minimum hahah.
