Timed Unilateral Exercise

Would it be possible to add native support for timed unilateral exercises?

For exercises like Suitcase Carries or Copenhagen Planks, Liftosaur currently only gives one active timer instead of separate left and right timers.

The workaround is creating separate Left/Right exercises, which clutters the program and splits exercise history.

Ideally, a unilateral timed exercise would automatically run Left → Right → rest, with progression based on completion of both sides. Would this also be possible on the Apple Watch app?

Best shaving soap if money wasn’t the issue

I’ve been shaving with DE razors (Merkur and Gillette) for about 3 years now. I’ve always used the “soft soap” (Taylor of Old Bond Street). I would like to venture out from that and try the hard soap. Any suggestions? I am willing to pay >$50 for a soap. These soaps lasts me usually more than a year.

Apple Watch UI — no visual indicator when an exercise is part of a superset

Right now on the Apple Watch app, when you’re mid-workout there’s no way to tell at a glance that the exercise you’re looking at is part of a superset with another exercise. You only find out by swiping forward to the next exercise and noticing it’s grouped with the one you just did.

Example: I had Landmine Calf Raise and Farmer’s Carry, Weighted paired as a superset. Both screens look completely identical in layout to a standalone exercise — same header, same set/target/plates info. Nothing on screen makes it obvious that this is 1 of 2 in a superset.

Suggestion: make the pairing unmistakable on the exercise screen itself, not just in the workout list. A few ideas:

**•**	Color-coded background shared across paired exercises (e.g. both superset exercises get a distinct colored background, each pair getting its own color)
**•**	Color-coded exercise name/title matching its superset partner’s color
**•**	A clear badge/icon near the exercise name (e.g. “Superset 1/2”) indicating position in the pairing
**•**	Superset partner’s name shown directly under the title (“Paired with: Farmer’s Carry”)

This needs to be immediately obvious at a glance — not something you have to notice or infer. On a small screen, under fatigue and with heart rate up, it’s easy to lose track of which exercises are paired unless the app makes it visually unmissable.

Would love to hear if this is already on a roadmap or if there’s a workaround I’m missing.

Please rate my routine

I am not interested in body building or powerlifting. This routine was created using AI for general strength, some explosive work, some functional work. What can I improve. Each upper/lower day takes about 50 mins.

Squat Rack Uprights protector

3D prints. [https://www.printables.com/model/1796287-squat-rack-upright-protector\](https://www.printables.com/model/1796287-squat-rack-upright-protector)
I made this to protect the powder coat on my uprights. Made for 75x75mm, 26mm holes metric uprights. I use it to protect the upright when doing barbell calf raises and when resting the barbell on the crossmembers during the deadlift. Probably not necessary but something I use to keep the squat rack looking new. Most won't care.

Color-code SuperSets

Hi! First off, I just want to say I’m really enjoying Liftosaur—it’s become my favorite workout app, especially with the Apple Watch integration.

I have one feature request that I think would significantly improve the workout experience: color-coded supersets.
In the screenshot, the Reverse Lunge and Hip Adductor exercises are programmed as a superset, but it’s difficult to recognize that at a glance when viewing the workout. I know the live workout screen displays a small bar underneath the exercise name to indicate a superset, but it’s subtle and easy to miss.

Would it be possible to add a color-coding system (or another stronger visual indicator) so that exercises belonging to the same superset share the same color? That would make it immediately obvious which exercises are paired together without having to look closely.

If something like this were implemented, I’d also love to see it carried over to the Apple Watch app. Since the watch screen is much smaller, a clear visual cue would make it much easier to anticipate that the next exercise is part of a superset.

I think this would improve workflow significantly, especially for more complex programs with multiple supersets. Thanks for all the work you’ve put into the app!

YouTube links

Hi,

Is there a way to add a YouTube link to custom exercises or even built in exercises? It’s useful sometimes to have a link that I can click in the program itself to review how the exercise is done.

Apple Watch integration

So……
When is the Apple Watch integration coming? It’s 2026!
Most other exercise programs had the integrations for few years now.

Custom program edits don’t carry over to my active program — intended behavior or am I missing something?

I built a custom program in the Program Creator and I've been running it daily in the iOS app.

The issue: when I go back into the Creator and tweak that same program (swap an exercise, adjust sets/reps, etc.), the changes don't show up in the copy I'm actively following. The only way I've found to get the updates is to archive my current program and restart the updated version — which is a hassle mid-cycle.

On top of that, restarting wipes my completion progress. It's a minor thing, but psychologically it feels good to finish a program at 100% before moving on to the next one, and having to restart resets that back to zero.

A few questions for the devs / anyone who knows:

  1. Is there a way to have edits in the Creator sync automatically to a program that's already in progress (without losing completion progress)?
  2. If not, is restarting really the only path, or am I missing a setting somewhere?
  3. Is live editing of an active program on the roadmap?

Would love to know how others handle this. Thanks!

Which way to face when squating: 6 post rack

Hi,

I have a six post track. I am curious as to which way should I face when I am squatting. Should I face forward and rack the barbell to the very first pair of posts or should I face to the back of the rack and rack on the middle posts. Does it matter? The very back post are used as storage for weight plates.

Couple training together in a garage gym: 2-station better than one all-in-one?

My wife and I recently figured out we want to train together in the mornings before work, which changed my whole approach. I currently workout at 5 AM. Looking for input on the setup and a specific equipment question.

What I already have:

  • Multiple barbells
  • Fixed and adjustable dumbbells
  • Full plate collection
  • Landmine attachment
  • Gymnastic rings (ceiling mounted)

Why I moved away from an all-in-one:
I was originally eyeing the Rep Ares 2.0 — the 6-post rack with integrated dual cable stack and lat pulldown. Excellent setup, but ~$7,000 is hard to justify for two people who just want to stay healthy and be a good example for our daughter. We're not powerlifters or bodybuilders. I explored some alternatives including going the Alibaba route, decided against it, and landed on a different approach entirely.

The current plan:
Since we're training at the same time, a single all-in-one unit still means we're taking turns. So instead:

  1. 4-post power rack, 30–36" depth — one of us squats, benches, does pull-ups. I also do tons of landmine workouts.
  2. GetRxd Phoenix cable tower — the other runs cable work independently

Parallel stations, no bottleneck.

My questions:

1. Does the 2-station approach make more sense than one integrated all-in-one for couples training together?

2. Anyone have real-world experience with the GetRxd Phoenix? Is the Tornado Arm system actually as versatile as it looks, or does it have limitations in practice? Alternate to Phoenix tower?

3. Plate-loaded ($1,648) vs. Weight Stack ($2,179) — which would you choose and why?

I already own a full set of plates, so the plate-loaded version saves ~$530 and I'm not spending money on something I effectively already have. But I can see the argument for "selectorized" — faster weight changes, especially if my wife and I are alternating on the same machine with different working weights. That $530 difference might be worth it just for the convenience of a pin pull rather than stripping and reloading plates mid-session. Willing to spend more if the quality and day-to-day experience justifies it.

4. What 4-post rack would you pair with this at a reasonable price point? Don't need Rogue Monster spec — just want something confidence-inspiring under a loaded barbell and built to last.

Appreciate any input.
