Fringe Sport Gibbon Arms... Converting to 1 to 1 ratio with pulley

Fringe Sport Gibbon Arms... Converting to 1 to 1 ratio with pulley

So I bought the Fringe Sport Gibbon Arms last month, and I will say I'm extremely happy with them.

But I will say that I'm getting a little FOMO now that the Maxum Mutant Arms (though they're big and ugly) and now Tornado X arms have an option to do 1 to 1 ratio due to the pulley hack. My rack is currently 2 to 1 and adding this functionality would be perfect for me to do lat pull downs off one arm

I am thinking of seeing if there's a way I can maybe utilize that hole in the middle of the arm to add some sort of hook so I can add on a climbing pulley for a 1 to 1 ratio, but would love some ideas here to make an elegant solution.

Maybe use a chain hook into the hole and connect a carabiner to it when I want to do 1 to 1?

I would love some ideas that are easy to implement and wouldn't look terrible.

Screws required for weightlifting platform

G'day, I'm building a weightlifting platform and I'm wondering what kind of screws would be best for the different layers.

The bottom two layers are 4 slabs of 19mm OSB, cross hatched (2 on the bottom side by side then 2 on top laid across). The top layer has a single slab of 28mm keruing hardwood plywood in the middle with 6mm MDF boards and 22mm horse stall rubber mats on either side. So down the middle the layers from top to bottom are 28mm keruing hardwood plywood, then 19mm OSB, then 19mm OSB. On both sides they are a 22mm rubber mat, then 6mm MDF, then 19mm OSB, then 19mm OSB.

All wood has been coated with polyurethane as it's going on my garage floor.

What kind of screws should I use to secure the two layers of OSB together?

What kind of screws should I use to secure the keruing to the OSB?

What kind of screws should I use to secure the rubber through the MDF to the OSB?

I'm planning on pre-drilling holes because I don't want any of the pieces splitting.

ISO equipment.

I’ve searched everywhere for a D handle that doesn’t have a stitched in place D ring like the photo above. I like these where it’s free floating. Does any one have any idea where I could find them.

DIY Loadable Dumbell Rack Attachment

While trying to learn fusion 360 CAD, tried to draw a rack attachment for loadable dumbell so that I do not need to get on the floor to chance weight. So I customise the width according to my own custom loadable dumbell and got it laser cut and bended. I can hold the dumbell and put it back easily without squashing my hand.

The holder is made from st37 carbon steel and it's 5mm thick.

For the ones gonna ask about dumbell, it's a custom one made at steel shop. It is 38cm wide and the fixed sleeves have 12cm to load plate. I also have 2.5kg lazer cut plates which are 1cm wide. With 5kg bumper change plate inside, I can easily load 40 kg per dumbell which is enough for me. And the shaft is 29mm with mid to aggressive knurling.

I also have brackets designed and cut. I will be sharing after I get some straps with correct lenght.

Metal weights onto bar noise

My home gym is directly under the bedroom and feedback from my partner is the weights make way too much noise sliding onto the bar.

Have put some tape on the bar for the moment but is there a product I can paint onto the bar to stifle the noise that anyone knows of? Tape is already tearing.

I'm in Australia

Squat wedge block surface

I got some squat wedge blocks, but the surface is a little more slippery than I expected. Anyone have any recommendations for a surface I should glue to the top of them?

Smith machine gap too large

Trying to find a solution, the jumps in my smith machine are too large. Would like to find a solution to occasionally do half jumps if needed.

Also this affects safety stopper position. For example when I set it at 3 for smith bench press, it’s too high, and 2 is too low to properly protect me.

Bulletproof VTS latch missing bolt

Does anyone have a DIY fix to this VTS latch. Finally got the VTS set up and realized the either bolt went missed or was shipped without it. I reached out to customer support at bulletproof but looking for a quicker answer is possible

help with advice on home exercise equipment

I am assembling a budget block system for a home gym using simple components (rollers, steel cables, spacer anchors). I want to simplify the design as much as possible and save money.

My plan is to fix the blocks directly to the concrete walls using standard spacer anchors. But I doubt if it's safe enough for a crossover.

Is it acceptable to attach the blocks directly to the wall with conventional anchors, or will the dynamic load eventually tear them out of the concrete?

Is it really necessary to install steel profiles (for example, a square pipe) to distribute the load, or is it an overkill for a simple home system?

I will be glad to hear the advice of those who have already fixed such systems directly to the wall. Have you ever come across anchors loosening over time? I would be grateful for advice on choosing the optimal type of anchors for this task.
