Is this the best MCU villain?

I feel like everything about this adaptation is just nailed. His motivation and backstory is directly tied to in-universe events while also being specifically picked to tie in to his villain persona. The film goes out of it's way to ensure there are explanations as to why he has big wings and foot mounted claws. They're pieces of tech that directly facilitate his jobs and we're even shown this first hand multiple times. A coat to keep him warm facilitates the fur collar look from the comics, and they even emulated his flared out hair with his helmet-hair whenever he removes the Vulture headpiece. What a helmet it is btw, using the glowing green eyes from an F-35 pilot helmet IRL and combining that look with a very subtle beak aesthetic? It's *chef's kiss.* They even wrote in justification for why his upgraded wing suit would have wings nearly twice as big and imposing when realistically, massive size on it's own wouldn't be a particular boon to him. In order to fully cocoon around him for the HAVS, the wings had to be much larger and more encompassing, providing the third act with an even more imposing villain. Not only does it all look awesome, but there's in-universe reasonings and explanations for every aspect of his appearance that's drawn from the comics. The Vulture, picking up the Avengers' "table scraps" wherever they go, not for some grand purpose or scheme, but just to get by and live comfortably.

Intelligent, competent, principled, and excellently acted, I feel more and more confident that this is the MCU's best villain every time I rewatch Homecoming.

Why does the Brand New Day figure cost more than the One Last Kill figure?

No fabric coat, no melee weapons, and less mags/mag pouches. I hope they didn't put all of his accessory budget into the DoDC bazooka that he didn't even use in the film. His LMG and/or his sniper rifle from the film would have been preferable if the heavy weapon is the reasoning for the slightly higher price despite coming with less overall.

What are the reason(s) that so many unit leaders, commanders, and aces stayed on Zaku I, II, and to a limited degree, Gouf platforms, even as the Dom family of MS was adopted and mass deployed as mainstay infantry units?

Curious if there's ever been any actual written lore on this since it seems to be a relatively consistent trend across OYW media, and I've always bene under the impression that the Dom series' performance pretty far outshined anything the Zaku or Gouf platforms could manage, either on land or in space. I feel like there are surprisingly few examples of aces or unit leaders utilizing the Dom despite this.

Neuen Bitter is the most memorable example that comes to mind for me, but MSG: Zeonic Front's Midnight Fenrir Corps also seems to hold to this trend with it's members. Unit Commander Schmitzer uses a Zaku I, the highest ranking combat MS team member, LT Roher uses a Gouf, and the highest ranking NCO member of the unit, MCPO Austin uses a Zaku I. The more advanced Dom platform is given to the lower ranking LTs on the team as well as to it's lowest ranked member, PO Swaggard.

How would people feel about this vest being added as a Customization for the Daredevil: Born Again Costume?

I've seen a lot of people say that they'd be outright angry if this look for Punisher got a skin due to it's similarity to the previous MCU look, but given the fact that it's this version of the character's big screen debut, as well as the fact that the film is absurdly successful, do you think they'd consider adding it as a Customization for the existing costume rather than as a brand new costume?

The Stealth and SpecOps Elites in Campaign Evolved use the same model.

Been playing through Campaign evolved and was curious what design they were going to use for the endgame Spec Ops Elites. I quickly noticed that they just use the exact same model as the Stealth Elites seen throughout the earlier game. Have they merged the two units into one and they’re effectively all “Spec Ops Elites” now, but some just have cloaks? The model seems to be a slightly updated version of the Infinite Spec Ops Elite which itself was basically just the Reach Spec Ops Elite just with modern graphics.

A couple of questions about the iconic Norris vs Shiro fight

Given these shots where we can see that Norris has successfully blinded Shiro with his shield, can we safely assume that had Norris not learned Shiro’s identity, that he could/would have killed him here with his blade instead of taking the shot at the tank? It seems like he would have still had time to take the tank out after he’d dispatched the EZ8.

If we are meant to believe that he sacrificed himself in order to spare Shiro, and that he actually could have won the fight, does that mean then that he was technically mistaken to have launched the no return flare? He did so before he learned that Shiro was the pilot Aina had met, meaning he genuinely assumed the fight would kill him. Was this an overestimation of Shiro on his part or just him not wanting to chance it given his adversary’s relative skill?

Fun Fact: The fictional enemy “MiG 28s” portrayed by F5s in Top Gun were originally real world MiG 23s in the script.

Another interesting thing to note is that Jester and Viper exclusively use F5s as their aggressor aircraft in the original script.

My best guess is that at some stage of pre production after the script had been finished, they learned that they’d need to avoid making Russia the explicit enemy, as well as that they’d only be able to utilize US made aircraft as stand ins. This would have brought about the name change from 23 to 28, making these fictional aircraft from an unknown adversarial country, and the instructors’ aggressor aircraft would need to be changed to A4s once it was realized that F5s would be utilized as the stand ins for said MiGs.

If anyone here is aware of further context or details on how/why these got changed around, I’d love to hear, but otherwise, just thought I’d share some neat info I wasn’t previously aware of along with my best guess as to why they made the changes they did.

At what point does a skin start hindering the average player’s ability to consistently recognize which character they actually are in-game?

I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if these skins cause them to add in a menu option to turn off seeing other players’ custom skins the same way we can already turn off other players’ custom vfx and voice lines.

Will 08th MS Team Dom and Zaku II ever get proper figure representation?

The HG Zaku II Revive and HG Dom pair well enough with the HG Gouf Custom, but the Robot Spirits Gouf Custom doesn't really pair well with the Gundam 79 versions of the Zaku and Dom.

How come these designs have been disregarded for so long? The Dom especially.

With the sighting of RFV style Zaku II feet on the Gundam film set, what do we currently presume will be the "big bad" MS of the film?

I'm a certified Dom enjoyer, but I'm honestly thinking that from a marketing standpoint, a Gouf of some kind might be their pick for a central antagonistic suit and/or final boss suit. Curious to hear what everyone thinks.

Which Series/OVA/Film is the best source of MS Urban Combat? Preferably UC but doesn't have to be.

Been rewatching through from 0079 to CCA and while I'm having a blast, I'm craving some more grounded, urban style MS fights. Is 08th MS Team the best like a lot of people say? I know everyone points to that EZ8 Gouf Custom fight as the pinnacle of the aesthetic I'm describing, but is that accurate?

Are my iron sights normal? (MC Operator CA compliant)

My rear sights seem to be a bit brighter than the front sight, and this is pretty much straight from the factory. I don’t necessarily mind the sight picture, I just want to make sure that this is a normal thing for the model and that there’s not something wrong with mine. Appreciate any help!
