Anybody else lonely? How do you deal with your friends not having the same time they once did?

I swear I'm not some sort of incel weirdo. My friends say I have HPD so if this is super dramatic just take me wirh a grain of salt. Been feeling sad lately though.

I'm m22. Idk i have a big group of friends. 12 of us. I'm reallt close with 4 or 5. Got some friends outside the group too. Men and women. I had a girlfriend til March but it wasn't a satisfying relationship so I left her when it didn't get better after three months. Idek why it went to shit after two years. People grow apart and circumstances change I guess.

Thrived for a while. Got fit, lost weight, got hot dare I say it. Picked up a nurse and a doctor over the summer.

But fuck it I can't get anyone to stay. I make a recurring joke about texting some bird "please" in the small hours of the morning but I come home in the evening after a day's study and placement (final med) and I genuinely don't know what to do with myself. I'm so restless. Tonigjt I got drunk and sang karaoke. I don't even like drinking but I needn't face myself then. I play guitar nd piano too. Sometimes I write short stories.

I feel like that scene in True Detective when Marty and Rust meet up again after all those years and neither have anyone in their lives at all.

I even have my eye on a girl. Pretty sure she likes me back. I never understood what they mean in the songs when they say someone might save them if they got together- think I'm on fire by Speingsteen or Wondwrwall by Oasis- but I really do think she could be the one to do that for me. How fucked in the head am I? Why can't I just be content to sit in my room alone?

What do I actually need to do to get on the CSTEM as a (probably) low centile tier 1 graduate

Going into final year and stuck between GP and emergency med. I really don't want to do stand alone years.

Would attending conferences and getting research done be a good idea at this stage?

What else should I consider doing?

23M in Cork

I feel a bit weird writing this but I really don't believe that dating apps work at all so I reckoned I'd try here.

I'm tall, not horrendous looking and have a pretty good job that unfortunately hasn't left me much time to go out and meet people. I spend a lot of my free time reading and gardening. I play the piano, guitar and fiddle as well. I also love singing but I'm a total crow so maybe we should keep it to car karaoke only haha.

I've been told that I'm the therapist of my friend group. I have a knack for getting people to open up about their problems. I like to think I give good advice too. Helping others is really important to me, and I try to as much as I can.

I don't really like texting, but I'd be very happy to meet up for a coffee or dinner to see how we get on. Looking to take things slowly and open to anything.

I think my ideal date would be a walk around town before going for dinner and getting something to drink afterwards.

If any of this interests you, send a message!!
