What am I going to lose if I cancel my VIP account and switch over to MDBlist?

I started my VIP account right about the time the price hike happened and people were saying it wasn’t worth it anymore.

I was using a mix of tmdb and trakt to create lists to plug into my ARR’s. Nothing more than that.

The function I appreciated from trakt and was willing to spend money on was that it allowed me to use other public lists and just copy/paste into my own. The convenience was a no-brainer. My libraries grew quickly with little effort.

Now, it seems like some of those functions have gone away or I don’t understand how they currently work, so I looked at MDB. Now, instead of adding huge amounts of media at once, the lists I want to make are a lot more curated and specific. That seems to be where mdb shines.

Looking at the payment tiers, I would get more than enough from MDB if I paid the same as I am for trakt.

What would I be giving up?

What does trakt do that mdb doesn’t?

I’ve been on autopilot with my Trakt account and must have missed some changes. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I started my VIP account last year. I really enjoyed being about to copy other users’ public lists into my own. I can’t seem to do that anymore

Did that function go away? I was just able to copy a few in late May early June. The only thing I can do with other users’ list is like or report them. There is no option to copy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What else can I do to troubleshoot my PC?

I built my kids a gaming PC back in 2023.

Ryzen 7700

7800xt

32gb G.Skill Flare DDR-6000

B650m Pro RS WiFi

WD sn770 2tb NVME

Team Group 4tb ssd

Seasonic Focus Plus 750w PSU

I’ve been fighting intermittent crashes, getting stuck in a crash/reboot cycle, freezing on startup, etc. These things are happening at idle and under load.

I wish that I could say that it consistently happened under certain conditions, but it’s been totally unpredictable.

I started with the EA launcher. Madden and FC25/26 were giving me all kinds of problems. I ended up starting over with a fresh install of windows 11 and updating my drivers, and that seemed to fix it. Things would play great for a week and then it would go right back to crashing whenever it felt the need.

I thought, maybe something was going on with the cable extensions I bought. They weren’t expensive and my train of thought was that cheap cables could cause problems. All of those got yanked and thrown away. It wasn’t worth the hassle to worry about them.

For whatever reason, when I built this thing, I thought it would be a good idea to cheap out on the ram. Every other part in the PC was new, but I went with used ram off eBay. $87 for 32gb DDR5. I was certain that was going to be the next logical problem. If it was the case, it was now going to be an expensive lesson.

I ran Memtest86 3 separate times. I pulled both sticks and tested them individually in slot A2. They both had zero errors. Then, I ran them in A2 and B2 together, and they passed again. Because of current pricing, I was kind of happy about that.

My 2tb nvme and 4tb both check good with crystaldiskinfo.

I just finished running HWinfo along side OCCT’s cpu/ram test for 40 minutes and the power test for 25. No errors detected.

So, as far as I know to test, everything looks good.

The problem is, I’ve seen this before. Right after I started fresh with Windows, I ran these tests and everything was good. A week or so went by and we were back where we started.

I ended up getting annoyed and building our kids a backup pc(3700x/2070s/16gb DDR4) using parts I had laying round. It running great and has been headache free.

What else can I do? I feel like things are perfect right now, but a week or so will go by and I’ll be right back to the same symptoms.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Plexamp stopped working mid song.

This is the error I’m getting now.

I was driving around using CarPlay. Then, mid song it started buffering. I tried to switch songs, albums, etc. the only thing that works is these two songs.

I was hoping it was an Apple problem, but I just tried it on a different device and it’s not working either.

Should I just start with rebooting my server or is there something else I should try first?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I’m new to Duckststion. I’m struggling a bit with the controller setup.

Our kids’ gaming computer uses windows 11. I have all the emulators opening through Steam using Steam Roms Manager. All of that works fine.

Right now, I have 2 Xbox controllers that they use for Steam. I also purchased 2 DS4 controllers, because I thought they’d be fun to use in the PlayStation emulators.

My hope is that a person could pick up any controller they feel like using, and navigate Steam and be able to play any game in Duckstation. That’s where I’m getting screwed up.

When I launch DS by itself, outside of Steam, I can make any of the 4 controllers work by themselves. I’ve even been able to make a single controller work inside of Steam the way I want.

What I can’t do is make it all come together. I’ll get one DS4 to work, but the other won’t work for player 2.

I’ll get one Xbox controller to work, but the DS4 controllers won’t.

From what I gather, they all need to show as Xinput controllers.

I’ve had a couple weird situations where both ds4 controllers are bounds as -0 xinput and -1 xinput, but they’re only working as player 1.

I’m clearly missing a step, or many for that matter.

Before I forget, their PC doesn’t have onboard Bluetooth. I have wireless adapters for the controllers. A Microsoft one for all of our Xbox one controllers. The DS4’s are a bit different. I have an official Sony Bluetooth adapter for Windows which is paired to one controller and an 8bitdo wireless adapter for the other DS4.

The official Sony one makes the DS4 show up as a DS4 in Duckststion. The 8bitdo adapter makes the other show up as an Xinput controller.

I was thinking that was the problem, so I purchased a second 8bitdo adapter and I’ll remove the official Sony one. Maybe that’s a dumb idea, but it’s only $20$. I’m fine if it fixes the problem.

Long story short. Can I get all 4 controllers to work, so depending on which controller a person prefers, they can just grab and go, or is what I’m trying to do, not easily possible?

Sorry for the wall of text.
