I'm a hairstylist in Tampa, and I am visibly queer. Today my first client of the day was a walk in who waited an hour for there to be an opening, which happened to be me. When I called her name, she acted surprised and said "Actually I think I'm just going to cancel, I am going to come back another time to see someone else, just cancel the appointment."

Good news is that my salon (per corporate) and my management are very accepting, and one of my managers will be calling her tomorrow to attempt to get her to fess up to being phobic so we can properly ban her from the salon and possibly all other locations.
