Opticum: the attraction to optical equipments! My plan is to slowly add general light-material interactions like reflections, glares and such... But anyway, what do yall think about this design?
Wuhu Island was my childhood. I still can remember the feeling of cycling through sunny seaside during monsoon seasons as if it was last week... and this is my tribute to those memories :)
Being an openly mechanophilic engineer and an amature photographer, I love opto-mechanical equipments. Telescopes, rangefinders, LASERs etc... but especially photographic objectives! So Imma draw an Opticum pride flag with a classic camera lens seen from above as the centre piece.
The thing is that the actual glass is usually surrounded by a "name ring", which carries informative markings like brand, serial number and most importantly optical values(see above: 2.8/80, 43-86mm 1:3.5).
I plan to write in "OBJECTUM • OPTICUM (numbers) • MADE WITH PRIDE" but can't think of any meaningful numbers to put in there. Do yall have any recommendations??

Control wheel and the main select button works but d-pad and other front control buttons do not work.
I have took out the board and found out that all the broken buttons, except for the review button, are configured in what's called "resistor ladder button matrix", where buttons are grounded on one side and connected to each part of a series of resistors. Wasn't able to detect any stable voltage coming from the tiny ass ribon cable and now I'm compeltely lost😢 Is ts cooked?
