As the title asks, I’m about to create a new character for a Strahd campaign I’ll be joining with friends and want to make a Sorlock without the Hexlock or coffeelock cheese.

I’m not too set on either subclass, but I know I’d like to be a midfield EB build and some battlefield control that isn’t the cheese grater strategy.

We have 3 front liners, with a bard cleric on the back line, so I figure I should focus on ranged damage with utility and control as secondary priority.

My main reason for asking is I’d like to combo subclasses that synergize, thematics aren’t really a problem.
