Spent the emergency fund on an emergency. Need to replenish the safety net.

I spent the emergency money on a burst pipe repair by rerouting the pipes in the house. I had to also use a new credit card with 0% financing for two years, for some of the plumbing job and to fix the drywall that was cut during the repair.

So out about $8000. 5k on a credit card. 3K wiped out of the emergency fund.

I feel very stressed out with no financial cushion. I have two years to pay off the credit card with no interest, but I would like to start rebuilding the emergency fund. Open to suggestions!

Trying to figure out why the moderators would remove this OMAD post.

Zero legitimate reason why this earlier post should be removed.

Isn’t this sub about sharing with others so we can all get meal ideas & encouragement?

Might need to start my own OMAD sub, where everyone is welcome.

1:30 PM – ribeye, asparagus, potatoes, sugar-free fresh brewed, iced tea.

I likely won’t finish this entire steak, but this meal will fill me up until tomorrow. Happy OMAD!

Simple Sunday dinner. Overnight marinated teriyaki chicken thighs, jasmine rice, and asparagus.

Chicken thighs marinated overnight with homemade teriyaki marinade, and grilled to succulent perfection. Served with jasmine rice and seasoned asparagus.

Took a photo of one on the plate, but downed two of them.
