Anybody else been running into more rattlers lately?

Anybody else been seeing more in your area?

Anyone have experience with dogs getting snakebit? Any tips? Or any advice on avoidance?

I'm in the Carson Valley and this is my dog's second very close call with a rattler this year. I managed to grab him when he was about 3-4 feet away, more than close enough to get bit by a snake that size.

When I asked my vet years back, he said it was too rare to worry about. I'm less confident about that now.

I'm not overly worried about any of our reptile neighbors, but rattlers aren't one I've had to give much thought to until now.

I *was* going to grill for the Fourth, but decided to stick with Ol' Faithful.

No regrets.

Marinated Bone-In Pork Chops, Japanese Sweet Potato, my special seasoned fried broccoli, and sweet yellow corn.

And a local beer, a Revision IPA.

How'd I do with my first board?

I'm pretty proud of my cable management and power supply management. The external power adapter can be removed for extra reach, too, since it's just velcro'd to the outside.

I've never built a pedalboard before and I was nervous since I'm something of a perfectionist with things like this.

If I overlooked anything, let me know please! The Speaker Cranker is my wild-card spot. Will definitely end up switching that out for fuzz as needed (but my fuzz is currently on the guitar board).

This certainly is a lot nicer than the rat's nest that is my guitar board haha.

I'm on NG+3 and just found Lionel on the train for the first time!

I'm always going to love games that manage to keep delivering surprises. I thought I'd seen it all after hitting 100 percent in NG+, but I was wrong! I found him just clearing Coltrane Peak, and I'm travelling from Nox's Bayou to Septemberg.

I don't know if this encounter is common knowledge, but I sure hadn't seen if before!

I kept forgetting to turn off the power strip for my amp and power supply. Not anymore!

I feel like this was a perfect solution using only an old bargain bin Christmas decoration.

I know don't people leave their pedalboards on all the time, but I feel like there's gotta be good reasons not to. I'm sure my power supply is always drawing quite a bit of power since it gets warm.

Horny Toads are Back! Again!

Last year I shared my first ever sighting of a Horned Lizard in the Carson Valley. A lot of connects said they hadn't seen them in decades.

Since last year, I've seen DOZENS of them!

Today, I found the biggest one yet and thought y'all would appreciate it.

It was a little wary of being handled initially, but after I got a few pictures they did NOT want to leave my hand. They're such sweet little critters. P.S., if anyone knows how to sex horned lizards, let me know in the comments! Thanks!

Just found my 20 year old tour shirt!

Thought y'all might appreciate this. This must've been either from the Mechanical Hand or A Natural Death tour, more likely the latter. That would make this from 2007 or so. Saw them in Sparks, Nevada.

I've been trying to remember the name of their opening act, but I can't. Let me know if anyone knows who they toured with back then! I remember the opener well because he pretended to make out with me from the stage haha.
