Struggling to find good Mac-compatible games?

Struggling to find good Mac-compatible games?

When I’ve been away from my main PC and wanted something to play on my Mac, finding compatible games has been rough. Sometimes, simply browsing the Steam store doesn’t cut it.

I built DogSushi, a Steam discovery site that recommends games based on your personal ratings. Users can import their Steam library with one click, rate the games you've played, and get personalized recs based on your personal taste.

The Recommendations page has a Mac filter, so you can discover new Mac-compatible games or find something playable in your existing Steam backlog. Whether a Mac is your only gaming device or something you use while away from your usual setup, I hope this makes finding your next game a little easier.

Building a Steam discovery platform — would love to collaborate with indie devs

Hey everyone,

I'm a CS student and I've been building a side project called DogSushi. It's basically a Letterboxd-style site for Steam where players can import their Steam library, rate the games they've played, and get personalized recommendations.

I know there are already sites in this space like Backloggd, so I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel. The two things I'm really focused on are automatic Steam library importing and recommendations based on your own gaming taste.

One thing I've been thinking about recently is how this could also help indie developers. If players are discovering games based on what they actually enjoy, it feels like a much better way for smaller games to find the right audience than just competing with whatever's most popular.

I'd love to work with indie developers while DogSushi is still growing. Whether that's featuring games that genuinely fit a player's taste, highlighting upcoming releases, or experimenting with new ways to help people discover your game, I'm interested in building those ideas together instead of just throwing banner ads on a page.

If you're working on a game and this sounds interesting, I'd love to chat. Even if it's just to hear what you'd want from a platform like this, I think it'd help me build something that's actually useful.

Looking for gamers to beta test a Steam recommendation project

Hey everyone!

I've always thought it would be cool to meet people with similar gaming tastes, not just people who happen to play the same multiplayer game.

I've been building a side project called DogSushi (kind of like Letterboxd for Steam) where you can import your Steam library, rate games you've played, discover personalized recommendations, and eventually find people with similar gaming tastes.

It's still in beta, and I'm looking for a few people who wouldn't mind trying it out and giving honest feedback. I'd love to know if the recommendations actually match your taste and what you'd like to see improved.

If that sounds interesting, let me know or send me a DM!

Looking for beta testers for my Steam game tracking & recommendation platform (DogSushi)

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for beta testers for DogSushi, a web app I've been building for Steam and PC gamers.

The goal is to create a Letterboxd-style platform for games, with Steam integration at its core. Instead of manually rebuilding your library, you can sign in with Steam and automatically import your games.

There are a few similar sites out there, but I wanted to focus heavily on Steam integration and personalized recommendations. Instead of manually rebuilding your library, you simply sign in with Steam and your games are imported automatically. I also wanted recommendations that feel more personal than Steam's Discovery Queue.

Current features include:

  • Steam sign-in with automatic library import
  • Manual entries for games from other platforms
  • Ratings, reviews, favorites, and Top 4
  • Personalized recommendations based on your ratings, favorites, and Top 4
  • Public profiles and social features

I'm mainly looking for feedback on:

  • Overall UX and navigation
  • Onboarding experience
  • Recommendation quality
  • Bugs or broken flows
  • Features you'd expect from a platform like this

The site is currently best experienced on desktop/laptop. Mobile support is still being improved.

You can try it here:

https://dogsushi.app

I'd really appreciate any honest feedback, whether it's a bug, a confusing workflow, or a feature you'd like to see. Thanks!

I built a Letterboxd-style app for Steam gamers that automatically imports your library

Hey everyone,

Over the past month, I've been building dogsushi, a social platform targeted towards Steam/PC Gamers.

The original idea was simple: I wanted something like Letterboxd, but for my Steam library. Steam tracks what you've played, but I wanted a place to rate games, write reviews, discover new games, and build a profile around my gaming taste.

There are a few similar sites out there, but I wanted to focus heavily on Steam integration and personalized recommendations. Instead of manually rebuilding your library, you simply sign in with Steam and your games are imported automatically. I also wanted recommendations that feel more personal than Steam's Discovery Queue.

Some features so far:

  • Sign in with Steam and automatically import your library
  • Add games which you've played on other platforms
  • Rate games and write reviews
  • Favorite games and build a Top 4
  • Personalized recommendations based on your ratings, favorites, and Top 4 (a unique taste profile for each user)
  • Public profiles and social features to see what friends are playing and reviewing

One thing I wanted to do differently is make Steam integration a core part of the experience. Your library is imported automatically after signing in, so you don't have to manually rebuild your collection.

I'd really appreciate some feedback from other gamers and builders:

  • How is the onboarding process and is site navigation smooth?
  • Are the recommendations useful?
  • Is anything confusing or missing?
  • What features would make you actually come back and use it regularly?

The site is currently best experienced on a laptop/desktop. Mobile support is improving, but desktop is definitely the intended experience right now.

If you'd like to try it:

I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback, good or bad. Thanks!
