Techno sessions w/ Model:Cycles

I’m a beginner when it comes to hardware synths and all. Just added the Cycles to my set up. Let me know what tips you know or what cool features I should try using.

Roland Aira series P-6, J-6, s-1 midi problem.

I have a question about midi and the start and stop function from one to the next. Is there a setting on the j-6 p-6 and s-1 that I can change that allows the timing to be synced but not have one affect the other when playing the play button? I have all three set to midi and thru on. But when I press stop on one it stops the rest. What setting am I missing?

Acquisition: Elektron Model:Cycles

I am super excited about my latest addition to my rig/setup to make techno. I had originally bought a Volca Drum, but quickly found out the limitations it had for what I wanted it to do. After messing with it for about 20 days or so I decided to return it and get this Model:Cycles. I think it will fill in all the gaps plus more. If anyone wants to share some tips and tricks that would be great!

Am I now stuck “Chasing a dragon”?

So I posted just recently here for the first time out of excitement of starting this new journey with hardware synths. I had the little stack of Roland aria s-1 and P-6 …only after having them for two days of tinkering, I ordered the J-6 and the Volca drum and the TE K.O. Sidekick (I have yet to receive)…

I am already looking for the next thing to add to the ensemble of sounds …is this normal? Has anyone sold body parts yet? Is there a hotline? …

My entry to the synth world. I’m addicted.

I’ve strictly used software from the beginning of my music production journey 30 years ago until just a few days ago. I would always admire hardware synths but never bought any since I never really had money. Now that I’m older and can afford to get my toes wet a bit to try them out and OMG I am absolutely addicted. I picked these up a few days ago (Roland s-1 and Roland P-6) and I’ve already put the Roland J-6 on order and should be getting that here in a couple days. I may end up going broke or selling a kidney over this new found love. Super excited to be a part of this world now and I guess I just wanted to share with other people since my wife doesn’t really get excited about this stuff lol)

One box/one synth hardware rec.

Hello, I’m new to techno production. I’m well versed in software production, but I mainly produce drum and bass. I want to get into techno (minimal) hardware production/live performance. I’m searching for a one box/ synth hardware solution to get me started that will provide most, if not all I need for techno production/live performance. Would anyone recommend me a piece of gear that can get me started?
Thank you!

First attempt in many years

So it’s been a long time since I have made tear out drum and bass. So I’m stuck at a loop. I’m looking for suggestions or any feedback on what I could do, what tracks I should check out that can help me get out of this loop.
Much thanks
