Accidental sunburn due to pregabalin effects

Funny but also a warning! I went on holiday to Copenhagen for the past two weeks (my partner is from there). Since i brought my wrong sunscreen that broke me out, i did not wear it and totally forgot to get an alternative. After the first few days i was ITCHING all across my face, neck and arms. I genuinely thought i was allergic to something in our cabin like dustmites or the laundry detergent his family uses. Rolled up the rugs and deepcleaned everything, to no avail. Checked the detergent and everything was unscented and allergy proof too.

A ridiculous amount of time went by before i realized i was just getting sunburnt, but did not feel the actual pain of the burn due to my pregabalin; leaving just the itchiness. This drug is SO strange, but luckily helpful for my fibro pain.

Don’t be like me and use sunscreen!!! You might burn without realizing it.

Best place to get Mumitroldene merch?

Hi all! I have been learning Danish for my partner, a born and raised copenhagener. To do this, i have started watching kids tv and reading kids books. I have TRULY become obsessed with Mumi and since im currently in cph I was wondering if there are any recommendations where to get a plush toy or any similar merchandise.

Yes i know Mumi aren’t Danish, but i love them so much. BF refuses to take the trip to Malmö with me, out of spite for the Swedes…. (Understandable vendetta)

Can someone identify this mold? Grey mold on shed ceiling.

Hi! To give context, i live in a house from the 1940’s with an old shed in the backyard. I usually just use it for storage and for parking my bicycles. Due to getting a new bike and doing some reparations there, i’ve been spending more time in the shed. Noticed this on the ceiling today, and i want to make sure to properly identify before i panic.

TIFU by saying yes to helping a stranger

So today i went to a nearby city to do some pre-vacation shopping. A woman around my age came up to me and asked in broken English if i could help her. I decided to listen to her request, she needed food for her and her kids. There was a grocery store on 2 min walking distance, so i told her i could help her with some food.

She told me she was Bulgarian and was waiting on starting her new job. This takes place in a large city in the Netherlands.

Once in the grocery store, she just kept grabbing things, stuff I don’t even get myself because of the price (cheese, ground beef, eggs). Mentally I was adding up the price of things and it kept going up and up. She was also not grabbing store brand stuff, but brand name goods that are a lot pricier. Slightly panicked i tried telling her that i also do not have that much money, she then said she just needed to get oil and then we’re done.

Eventually i paid for €41 in groceries to a total stranger. After leaving the store, she also asked me to pay for her hostel, luckily i had enough courage to say no.
This has been a giant lesson for me, i really need to work on saying no to people and that it’s okay to change a said ‘yes’ to a ‘no’. This is 100% my own fault, I do feel kinda sour about impulsively losing that money.

TLDR; I tried to help a stranger with feeding herself and her kids, but then didn’t have the courage to stop her as she kept filling her basket, resulting in me losing my own grocery week budget to a stranger.
