Has anyone gone from a Titan to a Ridgeline or from a Ridgeline to a Titan?

I’ve had my 2025 Ridgeline Black Edition for about a year. I got it new for $40.5k OTD at 0.99%. I currently have one car seat, but we’ll likely have two pretty soon. It would still be manageable, but the extra room would make life with the kids easier.

I love this “NART,” and it has treated me really well.

I’ve also done a few things to it:
Front tint to match the back
HPD mud flaps
FitCamX dash cam
TruXedo bed cover with the T-slot rail add-on
Black tailgate lettering
TuxMat floor mats
Screen protectors
Center-console organizer
A few other small things

That said, I’ve had it repaired under warranty three times already. First, the pillar trim came unstuck. It’s basically held on with 3M adhesive, so it started flapping in the wind.
Then I had a clicking sound when turning. They originally thought it was the clock spring, but they ended up replacing the entire steering column, steering rack and a ball joint before finally fixing it. After that, my backup camera started flashing. Earlier models had a recall for the tailgate harness, but mine wasn’t included, so it was repaired under warranty.

A Nissan dealer is now offering me $38k for the Ridgeline and will sell me a 2024 Titan Pro-4X with 20k miles for $38k. I was between these two trucks last year, but used-car rates were around 7% even with excellent credit. I was just preapproved at 4.25% for a used Titan, and I have two dealers offering basically the same deal. Another big plus is that the Titan came with a 5-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, so it should still have plenty of factory coverage left.

Any input would be awesome. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Ridgeline but if I’m ever going to make the jump to a Titan, this feels like the time. They’re willing to give me top dollar for mine and sell me a truck that originally stickered for around $67k for 38k.

Granted, the Titan has 20k miles, doesn’t have lane assist and gets worse gas mileage. On the other hand, it gives me more room, better ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera and a longer basic warranty with bulletproof powertrain.

Help me decide on my final Vokey grinds (54/58)

I've decided to treat myself to a new wedge setup after committing to my game. I've shot in the mid-80s six times this year, and am losing strokes around the greens because I don't trust my current wedges and don't feel they give me the versatility for some of the techniques I've been working on with my coach. I find myself trying to make my Kirkland 56° do everything while avoiding my 60°.

Current setup
43° PW
49° AW
52° Kirk Gen 2
56° Kirk Gen 2
60° Kirk Gen 2

Future setup
43° PW
46° Vokey F
50° Vokey F

Then I'm deciding between:

Option 1
54° S
58° D

The 54S becomes my wedge for more squarefaced, stock shots with less face manipulation, and the 58D becomes the higher-bounce wedge for rough, softer conditions, deeper bunkers and shots where I want the sole to do more of the work.

Option 2
54° D
58° S

The 54D becomes the higher-bounce option for bunkers and softer conditions and the 58S becomes the lower-bounce option for firmer turf, tighter lies and more square faced greenside shots.

I'm a fairly steep player, and for what it is worth my path is slightly in-to-out. I play in southern Wisconsin where the turf is usually pretty firm in the sun but can get extremely soft in the shade, especially after rain. Most of the bunkers around me are hard-packed sand, but I also take a couple golf trips every year where the conditions are much softer.

I'd like enough grind overlap between the 54 and 58 that I can choose the club based on the lie, pin location, green slope and turf conditions rather than automatically choosing based on yardage.

I worked with a Titleist fitter and also demoed both setups (and more) on softer fairways, from tight lies, out of the rough and from nicer bunkers than I'm used to. Even after the fitting, there wasn't a clear answer. The fitter felt both setups had legitimate advantages depending on what I wanted to prioritize, and these were the two combinations I naturally gravitated toward without knowing it.

I am curious what those of you with more experience have found to work. If you've played either of these setups or gone through a similar situation. I'd love to hear your reasoning and personal experience. If you were building this setup, which way would you go and why? Or is there another 54/58 Vokey combination I'm overlooking?

For a little more context on my short game, I use a clock system, keep about 65–70% of my weight on my lead side, don't use much wrist hinge. I like using the bounce, but do enjoy hitting higher more open-faced shots when the situation calls for it. That said I am not trying to manipulate the face on every shot if I can help it.

The biggest longshot in BMX apparel/gear history.

The only item I have ever truly unicorn-hunted is a pair of Orchid Vandever 2s in the Pool colorway. They are still my favorite shoes I've ever owned.

Is there any avenue anywhere in the world I could try to find a deadstock pair? I've been searching eBay, Facebook Marketplace, BMX groups, Reddit, and random forums for the last 12 years trying to get my hands on another pair.

I literally think about them every time I get back on my bike. At this point, I'm not even sure it's about the shoes anymore. It's the only item I've ever spent over a decade hunting, and I'd do just about anything to find another pair.

If anyone has a lead, knows someone who rode BMX in that era, has an old shop connection, or somehow has a pair collecting dust in a closet somewhere, I'd be forever grateful.

Opinions on paint colors/sheen for detached garage + golf sim build.

Garage is about 600 sqft total. (22'x28') I raised the ceiling where the golf sim will go to 10.5’ high, and kept the other half at 9.5’. For the width of the golf sim area, I have just under 12’ of the 10.5’ ceiling height. The enclosure itself is 11’ wide x 8.5’ tall x 5’ deep.

The photos show where the sim area will be.

Right now I’m heavily considering Sherwin-Williams Iron Ore SW 7069, but I can’t decide if I should:

  • Do the whole garage in Iron Ore
  • Only do the golf sim side darker
  • Only do the upper back wall + ceiling darker around the enclosure
  • Mix darker sim walls with lighter workshop walls

I also can’t decide on sheen. Would you guys go:

  • Flat
  • Matte
  • Eggshell

I know flat/matte is usually preferred for golf sims because of reflections, but I’m wondering if eggshell is “good enough” while being easier to clean.

This garage is honestly more of a hobby/workspace and hangout spot than a traditional garage. I actually have a main attached garage where most of the normal garage stuff lives like decorations, storage, outdoor equipment, etc. This detached garage will mainly be for the golf sim, hanging out, projects, and workspace stuff, although I will have my mower in there.

I don’t really detail cars or anything like that. I have a motorcycle but I mostly work on it outside. I’ll also be blowing/fusing glass in here and will have a kiln setup, so I don’t necessarily need super bright white walls.

For the sim itself, I already have a spotlight from my previous build, a SkyTrak+ launch monitor, gaming PC, and two projector options. One projector could mount right above me traditionally, or I could use a short throw mounted close to the screen either near the ground or ceiling mounted.

Current plan:

  • Fire-rated recessed lighting throughout
  • Dimmers everywhere
  • Separate switch zones for the sim side and the lower ceiling side
  • Mini split going in next week ( I live in AG Zone 5a)
  • Ran outlets basically everywhere I could think I might ever need one

Also debating whether I should swap the white outlets/switches I just installed over to black if I go darker with the walls. Curious what people think there too.

Also, I did all the electrical (sub panel and 14 outlets) and it all passed inspection which I’m pretty pumped about lol. (hired out taping and mudding). I am never hanging drywall again in my life lmao 42 sheets!

What specifically would you paint:

  • The golf sim wall
  • Side walls
  • Ceiling
  • Non-sim side of the garage

And what sheen would you use for each? Any other color recs?
