Hey CBC, would you mind not insinuating the entire town is caught up in a drug war?

No, the entire town is not living in fear of some dickheads no one has heard of unless they spend all day every day partying and getting high. The other 12,700 of us are just trying to make a living and get by while they kill each other and make life miserable for the people keeping the lights on. You’re giving a tiny minority responsible for the majority of the mayhem even bigger egos than they already have. This is not a stage and they’re not stars.

Tips for improving quality of pics with underwater case on?

I recently took my camera and waterproof case camping and got some decent shots in the water but a lot of them were blurry or otherwise obscured by water/fog/etc. (despite me wiping the case in front of the lens constantly).

Has anyone used an anti fog agent or something along those lines on the underwater housing before? Or should I just accept that that is just what putting your camera in a little plastic box does to it lol. Thanks!

H drive?

I got one of the “whoops we lost your data to the cyber attack” emails this morning but I graduated six years ago and cannot recall anything to do with an H drive or saving anything outside of Google Docs or my own personal laptop - does anyone know if things would have been saved there automatically, like assignments submitted through Blackboard or exam results etc?

I have absolutely no idea what would have even been in there and MRU has basically washed their hands of anything to do with helping prevent identity theft of affected alumni/students.

Fifth Avenue New Yorker - where to set neck line?

Hey poodle peeps,

My spoo’s adult coat and my grooming skills have recently gotten ok enough to start trying some of the clips in our vintage copy of Shirlee Kalstone’s masterpiece.

Unfortunately, due to a combo of her moving constantly and me being a little heavy handed with the clippers I definitely set the jacket too far down on her neck. The problem is that I can’t figure out where to let it regrow from - should I let it go from the base of her collar or from her neck folds (no one tell her I said that lol).

Apologies for the crappy pics and toes making an appearance, she is not great at stacking and needs to be touching me at all times or she’ll die. I swear the lines are straight, she just needs to be combed.

Any advice helps! Thanks.

Guessing sometime in the 90’s/00’s, found in a used book (printed 1978)

Bought a copy of a memoir I found referenced in a Find A Grave posting as I spend a good amount of time in that area (Bowron Lakes/Barkerville, British Columbia, Canada) and most of the readily available history is focused on the Cariboo Gold Rush.

I assume it made it down to the States as the cover has a sticker from Deseret Industries (Mormon Goodwill) on it and I don’t believe the book was widely distributed outside of B.C. The photo has a Kodak watermark on the back but no names.

Attemped murder charges withdrawn for men on trial for killing Good Samaritan, injuring second victim | CBC News

On Wednesday, Court of King’s Bench Justice Shane Parker told jurors he was withdrawing the attempted murder charges faced by Strawberry and Penner.

“The attempted murder of Matthew Andres is no longer a part of these proceedings,” said Parker.

“You should not speculate as to the reasons why I made this decision.”
