Avocado halves filled with mayonnaise

I was very young, in a townhouse in London with my parents and their friends, and they were at a long table all eating avocado halves, the stone hollow filled with mayonnaise and sprinkled with paprika. I got asked if I wanted a portion, said yes, and got given a little red yo-yo, but no avocado. I spent years thinking that "portion" was a word for a yo-yo or other small toy. I also spent years thinking that this was a waking memory, but my folks can't think of an event where that could have happened, so I'm now pretty confident it was a dream.

They did, however, start eating avocados like that after I told them about it. It's not very good.

You!!!

This strange cocktail (an old bronzing lipstick + dregs of gold edible glitter + dregs of a holographic highlighter) is my entire focus for August! It's been melted together and poured out, so I'm hoping to use it as lippy and blush both, as well as dipping a small brush in to make line and spiral designs. It's a lovely colour but a tricky texture, so good riddance!

August date in Edinburgh: method or madness?

Hello folks! My other half and I are trying to sort a day and place for a budget wedding next year. We stay in the central belt and we'll have folk coming from all around, but a lot of family and friends stay in Edinburgh. We'd be looking for a community centre out in the suburbs. August is one of the quieter months of the year for our circle, but that would put us in the middle of festival season. It would mean people could use the trip to catch some shows as well, but it would also mean a transport nightmare for folk coming into town.

What would we need to consider before picking August for our day?

How could I make this rug slip-proof?

Hi folks! I'm just about finished this rug made out of old t-shirts, but it's for a bare lino floor and I'm worried about it slipping underfoot. Has anyone had success with recycling ordinary household items as rug stoppers?

Palette roulette, my favourite routine!

Long time lurker first time poster, I'm a huge fan of panning things and making sure everything gets the best use from it! I got this big palette secondhand a while ago because i felt the urge to get in something new but that would last me a long time. To make sure every shade gets the love it deserves, I roll my dice for my main shade and pick some complementary ones. Today it was 12 down, 5 across, for a peachy orange.

Anyone had any luck mixing/repotting cream stick products?

Hi folks! I've inherited double ended cream stick (highlight and bronzer) that's too warm-toned for me and doesn't suit me as eyeshadow. What would be the best way to mix it with another pigment, and would it be better to use a grey or purple pigment to correct the warmth? Thanks very much :))
