#1: do you gainstage before running everything through a mix bus? i'd imagine, because if there's any sorts of subtle leveling issues in whatever the client sends you, those issues would become less apparent the more they were processed- so best get them sorted out beforehand?
#2 do you often change your mix bus depending on the genre/piece you are working on? if so, what commonly determines those changes?
me nd my friend are working on a pop song, so vibe is not crazy acoustic, but demo recording gave us a vocal with a bit of the wooden room baked into it. i've got hella say in the creative process- if ur in my shoes how are you handling this?
do you ever, say, leave it in nd build up the track around that more closed-in sound? is it standard practice for you to get it out w some neural network suites... maybe even jus some transient processing?

currently i have a surface parameter w 12 values (numbered 1-12, not 0-12)
when linked directly to harmony engine it will cycle:
1 = F#/Gb
2 = G
3 = G#/Ab
etc
this works just fine, except i would like the value 1 on my surface parameter to select C in harmony engine
between the surface control and harmony engine's "key" parameter, ive added a formula controller, where:
1 = 0.000 = F#/Gb
2 = 0.091 = G
3 = 0.182 = G#/Ab
etc
the key of C is selected when my surface parameter is on "7", which in the formula controller, reads "0.545"
does anyone know of an equation that would "wrap around" in the way id like it to (1 value for each key signature)?... i've tried to get it programmed through chatgpt nd i think the closest its gotten is a wrap around w a duplicate value at the end- no good
ive tried simply shifting the clip over but it seems that the entire thing is faster, as if the tempo of the clip has changed, so no 2 points line up the same way
not once have i ever had problems w this mode... especially annoying rn cuz im on a time crunch. has anyone ever run into this issue?? please share how to fix
