Ha Giang Cao Bang Easy Rider

Hi all. My husband and will be back in Vietnam in March 2027 because we missed Ha Giang when we were there before. We're looking to do a private or very small group easy rider tour of Ha Giang and Cao Bang including Eye of God Mountain, Ban Gioc, and Ba Be National Park, thinking 6 days/5 nights. We could start in Hanoi or Ha Giang City and would like to end in Hanoi. We're in our early 60s and my husband likes his comforts so looking for accommodations on the 'fancier' end vs hostel-style. I'm hoping someone here might have recommendations for an easy rider company that could make this work. Thanks in advance!

Don't want to screw this up

Hi knowledgeable folks! I bought 2 of these lovelies last year and they quickly made babies and outgrew their homes. Transplanted this spring and they've had a great life since but now we're here, in stunning bloom, and I believe the big one will die but possibly pop out more pups? Could you guide me on what to do in the next while to care for everyone in the pots please? TYVM!

Hopeful

I'm still about 7-10 days from harvest but need garlic for dinner tonight. No way I'm buying it at the store so I sacrificed this chonker and I'm super happy with what I got! I have a fair number of skinny stalks coming and really should have used one of them and saved this for seed but I just couldn't resist. I've neglected my garlic this year and hope most are as forgiving as this big boi. Happy harvesting everyone!

The 3 Faces of Eve

I made a 'clematis wall ' across some deer fencing so my dogs wouldn't bark at every single thing that moved past our house. It worked beautifully on multiple levels. "Eve" is my powerhouse Jackmanii, the pretty burgundy/red one beside her has sadly lost her tag so if you know who she is please share, and the Haku Ookan is just starting into its second bloom of the year. Eve drapes over the fence and is amazing on both sides and I took a pic along the fence line to get a third face LOL Irises and rhubarb provide shelter for roots (as well as early colour and delicious pies).

Transplanting established clematis

We have to move a fence sometime this summer or fall and I have 3 clematis blissfully living their best lives climbing it. I've been considering moving one of them so I could introduce a lighter colour but now my hand is being forced. Any tips on best time or any tricks to move Type 3s? Enhanced (so you can see all the promising buds!) pic of the jackmanii for info tax LOL

Clematis wilt

So last year I bought a Mrs N Thompson to keep in a pot (20-21 inches) on my deck. It did well, for a first season, then drooped and looked sad. I'd had knee replacement surgery in July so I blamed it on lack of care through my healing. In the fall I cut it back to the ground and this spring, with food and compost and love, it looked AMAZING! And then the drooping buds and browning leaves started again and now it looks depressing. I understand Thompsons might be susceptible to wilt but do you think it being in a pot is part of the issue? If I transplant it to the ground am I likely to spread the fungus? I have a Jackmanii in a pot that is super happy and it's been there a year longer. The flowers were so pretty but I don't want to risk passing this fungus along to my other, happier clematis.
