Le Mans Ultimate Community update - August 2026

"Hi everyone,

As always, we appreciate your feedback on our latest release. It’s been a little rocky, and we’ve made fixes as fast as we can. You can see all of the various patches and hotfixes since 1.4 here.

Today in 1.4.1.3 we are reverting some changes to the network protocol for the game to the previous versions found since launch. We know that one of the reasons you love LMU is the amazing netcode that allows you to race closer than others. Whilst we thought we had resolved initial feedback in 1.4.1.0 it’s clear that there’s still more to do for some users with particular connection types.

To clear up some confusion on the technical side, much of the game traffic is sent identically to before 1.4. However, there does appear to be some interference in some situations with our latest change.

As for RUDP’s future – it’s not being abandoned. We still believe that this is a positive step on disconnect rates (and can solve problems we never would be able to without it) but need to work on the way this is shown on your screens. So we’re going to continue this work and allow you to contribute. We’ve designed a way to allow us to hold RUDP testing sessions directly in the public version of the game you have whilst allowing other servers to use the tried and tested protocols we’ve been using until now. There is no technical reason the “RUDP” changes can’t succeed, but it clearly needs more time to mature.

So in the coming weeks we’ll begin to host these test events. Participation isn’t mandatory, we don’t need huge numbers, but ideally a good spread of users across the globe. More on this later.

We’re also committing to our next release, with two more amazing US circuits, currently scheduled in late September to be wholly committed to tidying up – bugs, design issues and underlying issues. We won’t be holding back critical fixes however, and will still work on delivering those as fast as we can."

Claim woman's death caused by Telstra outage is 'incorrect', SA Police say

Commissioner Stevens said a woman was found unresponsive by her partner at 10am on Wednesday July 8, and that her partner phoned a neighbour, who had a medical background, using his Telstra phone.

He said the neighbour attended "immediately" and "assessed the woman".

Commissioner Stevens said the neighbour then used "her Telstra phone to contact Triple Zero to arrange for an ambulance".

"Both of those calls went through without any difficulty," he said.

"The woman was then conveyed to a local hospital where she later passed away."

165 Hours in, Master Explorer badge completed!

No exploits. No Anna driving around Rivals while AFK for hours. Completely all legitimate.

Before anyone asks why, I felt like instead of focusing on little builds here and there, and then moving to another car as soon as something cooler got unlocked or bought, I wanted to get as many cars as I could (550 cars required for the "Car Collection" one), and then once I have a wide car collection, now I'll start focusing on builds, so I know it's a car I'm not going to dispose of the next day when I unlock something cooler.

I did put my thoughts in the other thread but I felt it was going to be quite hidden so I felt like making a thread, but I believe adding tyre barriers into the carousel at Watkins Glen is actually a terrible idea and has a very high chance of causing a major crash.

Tyre barriers are not designed to be run right up to the edge of at high speeds like they are expecting at the carousel, because if a car gives a tyre barrier even just a glancing blow, it can cause a car to sit 90 degrees sideways to the track just like this and cause a horrible crash.

This isn't the only example like this, another is the fatal Formula 2 crash back in 2019: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpDycQXsIm8 Instead of usual barrier crashes where you carry a lot of speed, because it was a tyre barrier immediately parralel to the track, his car was immediately stopped and was facing 90 degrees sideways to cars doing 200kph (120+mph), and was t-boned.

If they keep the tyre barrier at the carousel I will honestly be very scared watching the race, even moreso than I feel at Talladega when they are running 4 wide, because if one car just runs an inch wide and glances the tyre barrier, which WILL happen, they will be immediately stopped and be facing the track 90 degrees sideways or head on.
