WHERE do you buy good quality couches

World Cup is coming up and I finally have a reason to deal with this. I have looked everywhere and I genuinely cannot figure out where people are finding good sofas. Everything in my price range either looks cheap in person, has reviews complaining about it falling apart after a year, or is a six month wait from some brand that won't tell you anything about the materials.

I just want something that's actually well made, comfortable enough to sit on for a full match, and not going to look sad in two years. Does that exist under $3k or am I delusional.

Post: Is this worth it?

I keep seeing these vehicle theft protection and recovery enrollment programs being advertised through mail after buying a car. They usually claim things like helping recover stolen vehicles or registering your car in some kind of security network.

What I can’t figure out is whether these actually add real value compared to things like insurance, GPS trackers, or manufacturer security features. Has anyone here looked into them properly or tried one and felt like it was actually worth it?

I have no idea how to make this front room functional and inviting. My style is transitional but it’s such an odd shape in an old house

I've been renting GPUs from different providers depending on what's cheapest at any given time  RunPod some weeks, Vast ai others, occasionally Lambda when they have availability. The problem is every time I spin up a new instance I'm redownloading models, reinstalling frameworks, and re-configuring everything from scratch. It takes 30-45 minutes before I can actually start working.

I've tried keeping everything in an S3 bucket and writing shell scripts to sync but it's janky. Symlinks break, large model files take forever to sync selectively, and I have no way to track what changed since last time. I basically need a portable workspace layer that sits on top of whatever provider I'm using that day.

Anyone solved this cleanly? I want to treat GPU instances as disposable but keep my workspace persistent. Bonus points if it works across providers without vendor lock in.

Best place to buy a couch?

My partner and I are about to move into our first apartment. Our opinions about couches are completely opposing and we are a lot more picky than we should be. We’ve gone into multiple furniture stores and only found one we like but it was way out of our budget.

I’ve been looking online and I know wayfair and bed bad and beyond have ones that LOOK good online but of course I know they could potentially come and be the most uncomfortable thing ever. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could look for decent sectional sofas, in person or online (not Ikea)
