So I know this is a little out of the norm but I'm going on a trip with my parents and my daughter and we were all going to drive together but I may just take an uber. So, flight boards at 7:15am at AUS (decent sized international airport) and were flying internationally. My dad wants to leave the hotel at 5:45 and arrive in economy parking around 6. I am thinking of just getting an uber at 5am and arriving at the airport terminal around 5:15.

They think I'm crazy but I know how stressful it is with a 4yr old. She just finished potty training and I swear, we'd be at the front of the line and she'd complain she has to pee or SOMETHING. Also, I always plan time for if I'm stopped bc I'm a single parent and so I have her birth certificate with only my name on it to show that I don't need the nonexistent second parent.

So basically, I'd rather be super early and sit at the gate for an hour bc everything went well than be pushed to the limit with timing hoping it all works out. Am I crazy?

(For those that are unfamiliar with academia it means I've completed all coursework for my doctorate and just need to finish my dissertation)

Also for anyone curious I'm getting a doctor of education and my dissertation topic is over the efficacy of digital assessments for high stakes testing in 3rd-8th grade mathematics. My planned study will use an ex post facto design to compare mathematics STAAR performance before and after Texas transitioned from paper-based to digital testing, with the goal of examining whether assessment modality is associated with differences in student performance.
