Fictive alters ?

Hi !

I just stumbled upon the instagram page of a girl with DID, and I saw that she had fictive alters, like Peter Parker, Tony Stark, Jinx and Isha from Arcane, etc.

As I don't have DID myself, I was wondering how does that work ?

Does the brain watches a serie / film and randomly decides that it's gonna create an alter from an existing character ?

And in this case, does the alter thinks that they really are the character, or are they just inspired by the characters personnality traits ?

Thank you :)

Guilty or not guilty ?

Hi !

I’d like your opinion on a situation, and—if possible—some advice on how to dig a little deeper.

UPDATE : this morning I woke up, my front door was opened and the phone was in my suitcase. I'm terrified. I know it's him, but I'm scared he's still in the house. How did he even open the door ? Did he steal a key from me ?

To give you some context: my ex (M 24) was toxic and had alienated several people, including former friends—among them someone we’ll call Amelie. One of my best friends, Barbara, doesn't like him either, as she was aware of his behavior. Barbara had invited me to spend a week in the south of France with a group of friends; a week before we were due to leave, I messaged her to confirm the plan was still on. However, I got no reply from her.

My ex had suggested I spend a few days at his family home, not far from the town where Barbara had invited me. I agreed—it was only for 3 or 4 days, since I was supposed to meet up with my friend afterward.

But as the date approached, there was still no word from Barbara, and the week ultimately passed without any news... so I ended up spending the week with my ex.

During that week, my phone started acting strangely. My text conversation with Amelie was deleted twice; one morning, I woke up to an Instagram notification from her, then fell back asleep. When I checked my phone again, there were no new messages in the chat. I checked my notification history, though, and confirmed she \*had\* sent messages.

The weirdness continued: the messages I’d sent Barbara to organize our week had vanished, and I discovered I had apparently blocked a male acquaintance I’d only spoken to briefly twice.

Today, while checking my Instagram login activity, I saw that my old phone had logged in a few hours ago from the exact location where I’d been on vacation with my ex. The problem? That phone is supposed to have been gathering dust in my bedroom for weeks.

It’s worth noting that my ex had his fingerprint registered on my old phone and had access to where it was kept.

Last night, around 1 a.m., I confronted him. He swore it wasn't him. However, 20 minutes after he left, I saw my old phone's location (via Google) pop up not far from my place. Highly suspicious, I decided to go check the spot. Bingo—my ex's car.

He, on the other hand, started walking away when he saw me approaching, eventually breaking into a run so I couldn't catch him. When I later asked him via text why he ran, he said it was because he was "scared." (He weighs 20kg more than me, is twice as strong, and is actually the violent one.)

So, what do you think? Is he guilty?

Do you have any ideas on how I could get more proof?

Colocation intergénérationnelle

Bonjour !

Merci !
