How long will you keep your Polestar ?

Are you all 3 years leasers who will move on ? Or are there some of you who will buy and keeps for 5 years or more ?

i like to buy used, let someone else eat the depreciation, and run it for while.. Do you think a polestar is a good choice for that ?

edit lots of happy longer term owners. thanks for all your replies.

Stop Losses on Dividend Portfolios

It seems every day there is a new prediction of a market crash. The economic conditions have seemed to me precipitous for a long time now but despite everything that's going on in the world, markets seems resilient.

Nevertheless, crashes happen, and arguably one is due - at least a part of a normal market cycles.

so should those of use with largely dividend based portfolios, set stop losses to protect against such crashes ? especially if we are living or planning to live on dividend income ?

Well, I finally got cooked by AliExpress - after I spent years defending them here.

Been a customer for over 5 years. Never returned anything, never really had issues. Any issues were resolved.

As a result, I am sen defending them here on reddit , from users who seemed to think everything is a scam.

Today I got to take my turn.

Simple really:L £10 drill, not received. I go to the orders pages and see the order is marked complete (this is about 10 days after supposed delivery).

First question is, what happened to the bit where I mark the ordered at received ? Has this bit gone ?

Anyway, I filed a Not Received ticket. Sent a photo of my doorstep, because you can't proceed without photo evidence, but you cant photograph what never arrived.

I then dig into the tracking. The tracking number is a Royal Mail tracking number - all good I thought, this will show where the parcel is.

The Royal Mail confirm that Parcel XX123456 has been delivered (Note: only that is was delivered, not where), so I put in my postcode to see the delivery detail. The website reports that postcode does not match the address the parcel was delivered to - and naturally wont give further details.

No problem, i thought. I'll send a screenshot to AliExpress. It clearly shows the parcel did not come to my address, perhaps the tracking number supplied is incorrect. Im thinking, my account in is good standing, good history etc, £10 drill, easy refund.

WRONG. Refund denied, Appeal denied. Door closed.

So, for all the people I argued with here, and called them dumb - I got mine.

I have no idea why AliExpress would behave like this, no one benefits.
