Is this a legit k-factor 95?

The yellow writing is giving me doubts, I've never seen k-factors for this era with yellow writing

Is this machine legit and a good deal?

Hi guys, so I came across this used drop weight machine, which is what I am looking for, the seller offered me €200. First of all, is it a legit machine? I have found the "cb-10" model elsewhere, but it was a bit different, and another brand. If yes, is it a good deal? It is sold with all the accessories and ready to be used, the seller tells me.

Thank you!

Looking for a cheap used drop weight first stringer, but god is it HARD!

Hi everyone! So it's been a couple months now that I am getting interested in tennis racquets stringing, and I'd like to find a usable, very cheap used drop weight stringing machine to learn to string. I am not a competitive player at the moment, so I don't have high expectations from my string jobs, I'd string for myself for now, so anything that works is ok to me.

The issue is, I am in Europe, and I am having such a HARD time finding anything on the used market at all. I looked on all the main platforms, using several search terms, and also searching directly for specific models, but nothing... I was able to come by a Klippermate on vinted, but I was doubtful because they asked me to close the selling via paypal and private courier due to the package being too heavy and big, so I lost the deal.

Do you have any advice on where to look and what to search for? Or are stringing machine really so damn hard to find? My budget is very low at the moment, around 150€ maximum, because as I said I am not a competitive exigent player, I just want to learn stringing and so anything goes for me, as long as it is a drop weight and not mega old (afraid it could be broken or missing parts).

Help me identify this Head racquet

Hi everyone, so I was in decathlon this morning, looking at their second hand corner, and there was one head racquet that took my attention. It was a Head speed pro graphene 360+, all black (matte/shiny mix) with head writing in dark grey inside the hoop, a single “speed” writing in orange/red inside the hoop and the G graphene logo right at the beginning of the throat/top of handle where usually the head logo is. 315g, 18x20, 31cm balance, at an interesting price, but I wasn’t able to fully identify the racquet with a quick search while in the store. I forgot to take a picture, but one thing I noticed is the string bed had a couple of shared holes for mains and crosses, just like the actual sinner racket has. Do you have any idea of the exact model and year? It was listed as “Head graphene 360+” which is not the full name of course. Thank you so much!

Do these swingweight results make sense to you?

Hi everyone, so a few minutes ago I tried for the first time the iOS app SwingTool to measure the swingweight of my racquets. The results are a bit odd, too high maybe? I am sure I measured everything very accurately, the only dubious measure being what the app calls "Swing point" and defines as "The distance from the end butt to the point you want to measure the swingweight at. For tennis racquets the standard value is 10 cm". I also attached the schematics of the distances they require to measure. I left the standard swing point at 10cm.

Here are the odd results:
Head gravity tour 2020 unknown strings (head leather tour grip):

  • strung weight: 331g
  • Balance: 338mm
  • Hand point: 64.2cm
  • Swingweight: 348

Wilson pro staff 97l babolat rpm blast 1.25 (tungsten putty in handle, 6g lead at 10-2):

  • strung weight: 326g
  • Balance: 338mm
  • Hand point: 64.8cm
  • Swingweight: 350

Yonex vcore 98L kirshbaum competition (tourna pro thin grip, tungsten putty in handle, 6g lead at 10-2 and 4g at 12):

  • strung weight: 323g
  • Balance: 330mm
  • Hang point: 64.2cm
  • Swingweight: 333

To me the measured SW seem pretty high. I measured each racquet 3-4 times, with very consistent results (+/- 1 point). I set up the camera to have the whole handle in the rectangle they provide in the preview function. What do you think here?

What are my options?

Hello everyone! So long story “short”, I am an intermediate player with a 1HBH and around 5 intermittent years of experience. At the beginning of the year I started to play again after a very long stop, and I got interested in racquets “nerdology” all along 😃 At the moment I feel like I have yet to find the racquet that suits me best. Since the beginning of the year I have mainly used these 3 racquets:
- Vcore 98L 2023 customized to 327g strung and 328mm balance
- Pro staff 97L v12 customized to 326g strung and 328mm balance
- Head Gravity Tour 100sq 2020 with a leather grip for around 336g strung and 324mm balance

The Head is by far the least used one, and also the more experimental one, I was curious to try a “full spec” 18x20 tool and I found it for very cheap. Not surprisingly it is super demanding for a player like me, so I am thinking of selling it. Fun fact though, I started my tennis career at around 10 and they taught me 2HBH, then I decided to go one hand because you know, Roger and stuff 😅 weirdly enough this is the one among the 3 that lets me play more comfortably with a 2HBH, but I think I’ll stick with a 1HBH for now.

Regarding the other 2, the yonex is the first one I bought after some research, while the wilson was too a curiosity buy due to the already mentioned mr. Roger, and surprisingly enough at the moment is the one I feel more comfortable with.
Unfortunately there are a couple or things that I find a bit uncomfortable with it, one being the serve (which is I think my strongest shot normally) that I feel kind of underpowered and “stiff” to play, and ground strokes, which are my favorite shots and sometimes feel a bit difficult to launch beyond the net with the PS97L, especially when going a bit backwards.
For comparison, the gravity tour felt like a power monster on flat serves, and the vcore is not bad too, being also of course launchier on ground strokes. This vcore doesn’t feel very comfortable for me though, I even tend to shank the ball more with it compared with the supposedly less forgiving PS.

So, I’m here to ask you suggestions on something that would feel similar to the PS, but that could fix the 2 pain points I mentioned above. I know probably a big part of the issue here is to be assigned to my technique, but I think it doesn’t hurt to use a tool with which you feel comfortable overall.

Thank you in advance for your kind help!

Edit; I forgot to mention that I’d like to move toward a regular model after using mainly L versions so far, mainly because i want to force myself to develop proper technique using a “proper” tool and not an “easier” one

Advice on how to try stringing a racquet

Hi everyone! So, for some time now I've been very curious about racquets stringing and I'd really like to try to string a racquet. The issue is of course, a stringing machine is not really an easy investment just to try. Do you have any advice on how to try out this new "hobby"? Thank you!

Oldest x-trans fuji with recipe-level white balance presets

Hi everyone! I am a sony shooter starting to get interested in fuji mainly for travel photography. What I am mainly interested is to take straight out of camera travel jpegs, with no editing hassle. So I am interested in x-trans sensor cameras. I don't need the latest technology, not looking for the immense number of megapixels, I don't want to spend a fortune, but I've read one thing that would bother me, which is older x-trans fuji cameras don't store the white balance settings together with recipes, so if you need different WB on a recipe than another, you need to change it manually every time.
I am finding it difficult to find which model has the per-recipe WB setting, info is not clear online, and sometimes I read that they added the support with new firmwares, so I need your help.

Can you help me understand which fuji models (especially older ones) have the per-recipe white balance setting? Thank you so much!
