Can I move my Etisalat modem/router from the entrance cabinet to a bedroom? How do I check if the room is compatible? :

Hi everyone,
My Etisalat modem/router is currently installed just after the entrance door, and I’d like to move it to a bedroom because the current location looks messy.
How can I check if the bedroom is compatible for this setup?
Specifically, I want to know:
• Whether the bedroom has an active LAN/Ethernet line..
• If there’s a way to test this before asking for a technician.
• Whether I need Etisalat or a separate electrician to help.
For context, this is in a 2BHK apartment The Gardens Dubai. Any advice from people who have done this would be appreciated.

Planning to buy a TM F4-425, But I see the TOS does not have the semantic search feature or not announced yet. Is it a very useful feature? And how often you use it?

I have this TM FM-425 at a very good deal in prime day sale. I was planning to buy Ugreen DXP2800, but the deal on Terramaster seems very good . I see from a web search that ugreen has announced lot of AI features in their AI road map for the next 12 months and TOS has literally nothing.

As someone new to NAS, is those ai features really useful? For instance I use Semantic search feature in my iphone photos a lot and I think its great if I have the same feature on a NAS.

Where can I buy small succulent plants at a reasonable price in UAE?

I’m looking for a plant nursery where they have a good variety of succulents but at a very reasonable price . Earlier I used to visit this nursery in RAK and they increased the price without any justification. Looking for suggestions .

I have a post from UK via Royal Mail and I came to know that Emirates Post is their courier partners here. The EM post is asking payment for the delivery. Is this normal?

Has anyone here has an experience with Royal Mail- Emirates Post? I paid full shipping charge upfront to the seller. But EM post is asking for payment to deliver .

I have a small automatic plan watering device which I intent to keep it on my balcony. The location is Dubai and the temperatures are easily going to hit 50 C ( 122 F) . The device’s operating temp is less than 40 C. I intent to make a small insulating box for my device . Is this feasible ?

First of all, Apologies if im posting this on a wrong sub.

My problem is as mentioned in the title , I know if I keep my device unprotected and exposed, easily the surface temperature on the device will hit 60-70 (140 F - 158 F) and will damage my device.

If I make a insulating box out of Expanded Polystyrene with some poked vent holed and keep my device inside , can I safely secure my device? And how much temp drop can I expect?

And what should be the thickness of the EPS ?

If someone has better ideas please share too.

Thanks in advance

Cheers!

In a DGU, Is there a chance of corrosion of the low-e coating due to the air and moisture from which is trapped inside the air chamber?

Me and my friend were having a discussion on the argon filled DGU’s and this particular question struck me. How is this issue mitigated, as far as I know the air chamber inside a DGU is an ordinary atmospheric ai with moisture and impurities. I was wondering myself , won’t it leads to the corrosion of the silver low e coating in future?

Which is the best free ai browser?

Currently I’m using comet browser and its perplexity subscription is about to end. The features on perplexity that I use the most are ai controlled browsing, scrapping the results from websites and automatically filling in google spreadsheets etc

I want those same features. Can someone suggest some good free browsers which has those features?

Which is the best platform to learn Thermal Analysis of Building Envelopes and Facades.

Firstly, apologies if I'm asking this question in a wrong sub. I'm looking to learn the science and the analysis using software for building envelopes. I can't find a proper online course which is focusing on this.

If someone here has any experience on this , kindly guide me and direct me to a correct course material.

I’m currently using this specific Glass centric program called SJ Mepla. I want to know if others from the industry are also using this same program or other better programs are available.
