Changed my cabin filters! Very easy!

Why overpay a dealer to do it? Lots of tutorials on YouTube and takes 10 minutes at best.

If you find the BZ4X front headrests uncomfortable, you might want to try swapping them out for the Solterra headrests.

My wife is very particular about her headrest comfort as she can get pretty bad neck pain if the headrest isn't just right. We'd tested the Solterra some time ago and she loved the headrest...but we ended up buying a 2023 BZ4X instead...thinking the headrest would be the same.

It is not.

Fortunately, you can swap out the BZ headrest with the Solterra. I didn't think there was much difference on the angle, but she absolutely loves the head rest. It's slightly less forward leaning and a little bit softer.

So, there's your FYI of the day.

Rant about Toyota Connect. Feels like the embodiment of enshitification.

I just bought my first EV Toyota a few days ago, love the car, and I've been enjoying the Toyota App...remote starting with AC, checking on the charging levels...all very convenient...but then I see that when the trial period ends they want $15/month for this? Really?

I would be curious what percentage of Toyota users subscribe to one of their subscription services. I mean, it feels like most everything they offer, mapping, wifi; could be just as well handled by your cell phone...so who is paying for this ridiculously high and needless subscription?

I mean, it at most costs them fractions of a penny to add new users to their network and I would have to think that if the services were reasonably priced, almost everyone would subscribe to them.

Plus, they would have the benefit of customers staying within the Toyota ecosystem when it came to service and parts. Not to mention the other marketing opportunities of having their brand in the minds of the customers. Just a click to schedule routine maintenance. A notice that a new model of your current car is coming in. That sort of thing.

Honestly, it feels they are pricing themselves out of a huge subscriber base with these rates.

Mirror dimming problem

Just got my 2023 XLE yesterday and I love it...except I can't get the rear view mirror to turn off the auto dimming.

Im assuming the heavy tint on windows is causing this.

Tried the button but with no luck.

Any advice?
