i’ve always enjoyed this album but like many was always comparing it to the first 6 albums and never gave it a fair chance. recently been listening to it and my god it’s actually one of the best black sabbath records full stop and this song is somewhere in my top 10 sabbath songs ever. the main riff is so heavy and the way the bar ends with those repeating bass kicks my god brother🤟🏻
1st year apprentice here and have never welded before becoming an ironworker. got told by my super and journeyman that it looked really solid for my experience. what do yall think? we have a weld test this saturday at the hall & they were telling me to go but im not really sure. can a 1st year even take a test?
been fire watching last few days and each day my superintendent ask me what i learned and admittedly i said nothing because im not gonna lie to his face lol so he gave me his book so i can read it while fire watching. “each day you need to learn something don’t let the day go to waste” he said. so here i am reading a rigging book published in 1976. lots of cool historic photos in here
i’m a 263 apprentice and possibly want to move locals once i become a journeyman. it’s unbearably hot here lol and the wages don’t really stack up for the work we do. for those who have moved locals was the grass greener? i would like to try change our local for the better but it’s a big uphill battle and one of the pros of the union is being able to travel and move wherever.
north texas resident here and we have a lot of ranches around in the small surrounding cities. does anyone have experience shroom hunting in this location? is this a good time of the year? i spotted 2 possible locations one with longhorns and the other with dairy cows. which one would be safer to be around? it’s a multiple acre ranch so it’s not like i would right next to the cattle.
has anyone ever worked in another country that isn’t canada? i saw a video of some ironworkers in mexico and it got me thinking. could i one day travel to another country to work? if so how would it work between me and the hall?
the biggest what if i think about is what if these 4 made an album together? tommy is a fucking powerhouse on the live tracks and rudy is a groovy but heavy bassist. randy leading the charge. the chemistry these guys have is insane and i wish we could’ve gotten an album with these 4
i can stop cold turkey and be completely okay with not smoking and have done it many times but every time i pick it up i full send it. it’s other 100% or 0%. Like my sister in law literally only hits it at night and not even every night but me? all day everyday. it’s so hard for me to regulate when i’m smoking and i absolutely hate it lmao. so it’s either 100% sober or 100% high when i’m using. anyone else like this?
