Bleached the scales 20 minutes and burned the titanium hardware with a propane torch. Pretty easy mod.
Edit: I forgot to say, bleaching the scales apparently leaves the ano intact. Hopefully this is true so I won’t get aluminum residue on my hands using it.
Heat can change the colour too, but will micro crack the ano. I’ve done this before on a Convoy S2 flashlight. Couldn’t see any cracks. 🤷♂️
I’m happy with this one. Fits the hand comfortably and no problem opening and closing with leather work gloves. I like the front flipper tab the best.
Next post, bleaching the coloured scales… whenever I get to it.

Basically, want the Miguron Pinam in the Miguron Karok D2 62-63HRC steel.
Just wondering what’s out there available for 7075 flashlights.
I really don’t know why it’s so hard to find. It’s not a rare or super expensive metal.
I think of it as a halfway in between stainless steel and 6061. Still much closer to 6061 for machining and heatsink properties.
All tactical or advertised as rugged lights should be made of this.
